Re: Night Rating - Spins
Spins are an aerobatic maneuver, aerobatics are not permitted at night - because it's a bad idea! This is what I found in the cars, Aerobatic Manoeuvres — Prohibited Areas and Flight Conditions 602.27 No person operating an aircraft shall conduct aerobatic manoeuvres (a) over a built-up area or an ...

Anyone have to do spins during their night rating training? Seems a bit silly but wondering if any others have done it...

Wasn't implying there wasn't, just wondering if people had some they wanted to mention. As per the above posts you can find enough people complaining about the bad ones you can do the "avcanada test".altiplano wrote:Get real man.

Reputable 703 Operators
Just wondering what are some of the reputable 703 operators around the country. I feel like 703 gets a lot of flak, and in some cases deservedly so. But trying to keep things positive is there any 703 operators that one would recommend both to work for and fly on?

Cameron says the hardest part was getting hired. She trained for two years at an aviation college and worked as a co-pilot on DC-3s in northern Canada for three years before Air Canada accepted her into training.

Re: Regarding Northern Air Charter job ad...
Maybe I'm making one too many assumptions here but this is not a 250 hour job as some people have stated, it's a 500+ hour job... So I would assume you have/had a short job for at least a few hundred hours, and if so why not stay and get a few more hundred vs dispatching. By the time the dispatcher ...

If you are willing to go to the Vancouver are there is a lot of choice, from schools that have rates of 250 solo to a school with a DA42.

Re: Recommendable flight school near Vancouver, BC, Canada
7ECA Has some good advice. Check out a few schools and find out which one you would like to train at. I have trained at 3 different schools in the area at 3 different airports, all had their own personalities and ways of doing things. I settled at the one that treated me well (like a person), and fl...

If you are trying to get back in black, I'd suggest taking the highway to hell and ask to transfer money. They may shake you all night long, but it's a long way to the top. But if you're gonna rock and roll I salute you. Just don't act Thunderstruck if it back fires. Gotta have a stiff upper lip bec...

How does the hiring for the 328 and the Dash work? If there is an opening do guys move over from the 1900? Or do they take someone off the street? finally do they prefer higher time guys for these positions or similar to the 1900?
Thanks
