Good point Donald, I agree it is most definitely NOT fair if such a candidate was hired over another because of gender...but how many times do we see discimination in so many other forms...small men missing out over larger guys because of "loading the airplane". Better looking, taller guys can also ...

as a vertically challenged pilot meself...I used the pedals on a 172 for part of my training...they cost a lot though, so some flight schools may not be able to (want to) afford them (I heard $500?) What we were suggesting is that you finish your training on floats...ie:get some of your commercial time on a float plane...which would give you a bit of a jump start if you want to work on floats in the future. (Thus avoiding the cost of a "bush course" and speeding things up for you) Many places o...

Luck, and a lot of "polite" pestering...it's a fine line. A good resume helps too...they assume you can fly, you got the licence, now what ELSE can you do for them that will make it worth their while to hire you. Customer service, any trade skills, outgoing, enthusiastic (not just another quiet pilot)
