Re: Looking for a job at WEST WIND?

Since then pilots have a union, why are they not being protected from such horrible conditions at the hand of their employer? Is this not why unions exist and take up residence in the first place? They exist to protect the employee, yet the employees are still bitching. Sounds like one big multiface...

Re: Is it possible Swissair 111 wasn't an accident?

I have to question why so many years after the fact this becomes news. Airplanes have magnesium in them, it burns. To think the TSB would turn a blind eye to such allegations during the investigation is quite simply laughable. Wait til the reconstructed carcass is sold as scrap then run to the media...

You either don't know him that well, or don't pass through YXE often. He hasn't hung up his headset yet.

Re: Lesson to be Learned BE20 Hanger Damage

Sure got quiet in here. So I guess everyone agrees it is an unnecessary burden on the taxpayers, time to talk to my MP I guess. Even the government employees can't justify thier position. Like sooo many crown corporations, it is a huge ripoff to the taxpayer fleeced by the media and public ignorance...

Re: Lesson to be Learned BE20 Hanger Damage

The govt. contracts several private operators to conduct air ambulance operations up north, so I'm not too sure what you mean here. Well, the other operators are contracted through SAA, and I would assume flying a Navajo or KA100 is cheaper than the SAA fleet, but the cost to the taxpayer is the sa...

Re: Lesson to be Learned BE20 Hanger Damage

If there were 2 pilots involved, they would have hit the tail AND a wingtip  . $1000 deductible for a $5M aircraft? Unlikely, but lets not forget the sharp increase to insurance premiums after this years 2 incidents that the taxpayers are footing the bill for while also paying for any aircraft ...

Re: Lesson to be Learned BE20 Hanger Damage

Expensive year for SK taxpayers at the hand of Air Ambulance, Maple Creek in January and now this? When does STARS start operating there? Perhaps they can expand into fixed wing as well.

Re: Saskatoon Airline ordered to reinstate dismissed pilot

And assuming that the 50% plus pilots that voted for the union were concerned solely with wage compensation is again, naieve. But I'm sure your book convinces you otherwise. And the fact that 70+% of WWA pilots at this point have petitioned to decertify the union after over a year without a collect...
