Re: Getting hired

With the numbers projected for flow thru is it going to be sustainable for the express carriers to loose that many to AC in such a short time? All of the express carriers have slashed the min requirements to a heart beat and a CPL with a splash of turbine SIC time to fill GS already. If the hiring f...

Re: Aurora Jet Partners

There is a huge difference between working for a management company and a good corp gig. I think Aurora is one of the best out there these days. Guys seem to get some sort of schedule, decent pay and stats which is very rare in the world of managed jets.

Re: How long before I can afford to move out of parents base

the poster is just trying to be an ass. Jazz still pays better than Sky and Georgian and Encore. if not in starting salary than the per diems will make up for it real quick. about 12-13k a year in per diems tax free. Those base salaries are also based off of an average monthly and with the reduced ...

The mooney is a great little bird. Im 3 years into owning mine and still under 4 grand for both annuals and routine maintenance including avionics subscription. Up front is tight but ive flown 4 hour legs with 2 heavy boys up front and we did just fine, for my wife and I its perfect. Every 4 banger ...

Re: Any hiring news??

Maybe they assume that with 4000 hours you respect yourself to much to work for 30k plus a guaranteed 10k a year in per diem that somehow helps pay rent and not feed you on the road. I did get PFO'd on step 1 (phone call) so I am a little bitter about the whole deal. Good luck Which requirements di...

Actually considering that you have no control over where the parachute will plunk you down, that was a very fortunate 'landing'. Didn't even block traffic. You never know in America though, you could end up parachuting into a bad, bad neighbourhood. Pretty good chance coming out of hobby you will e...

Minimum of 80% new hires will be from AC express. Is that guaranteed? As far as I have heard and seen the only part if this rodeo that is in writting is that 700 and some hires are coming from Jazz making up 80% of the GS. Once that is exhausted 6-8 years from now its anyones guess what AC will do....

Rumours are true. May 1 is the day.

Best flying and best bunch of guys I've worked with. Like the OP I don't think you'll find to many ex employees feeling bad for Jackies loss on this one.

Jazz or Encore? Which is better/worse

Considering if you want to fly Mainline in red or teal these days you have to jump into a regional and spend 5-7 years in the minors before you get called up to the big leagues. Considering pay/schedule/working conditions for new hires which is a better place to call home for nearly a decade before ...

Re: WJ encore and the regionals

How many guys are they running in a GS for mainline? Seems flow thru onto the jets is going to be a long haul. Even at 50% if they run 3 gs a year with 8 per class. Whats a new hires number at encore? Are they over 150 pilots now?

Re: Jazz or Encore?

I think everyone has forgot about the one list at Encore. Even if it does take 8 years to move to mainline all that time on the seniority list counts toward base selection and, more importantly upgrade on the 37. Encore wins by a long shot. So mainline hires a guy straight into the 37 today, a guy ...
