Re: AC Lining Up with a Taxiway SFO...?

The NTSB is scheduled to meet tomorrow and release its findings and recommendations, according to https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-09-24/after-near-disaster-ntsb-eyes-tech-to-keep-planes-on-runways . Unsurprisingly, crew fatigue and failure to adequately review pre-flight warnings about ...

Re: US turning people away at the boarder for investments in pot.

And while we're at it let's stop all this nonsense about Canada having a special relationship with the US and accept that we're just another enemy/competitor as they view every other country now. Exactly. And while we`re at it, enough of the bleeting about how 'our friend' Mexico left us at the NAF...

Re: 2018 CNE Airshow

I was on the ramp when an SAR Cormorant landed then hover-taxied, at walking pace, for six minutes, grit-blasting mine and everyone else's tied-down aircraft. Does that count? Sure, it counts. Could have said so without the whining. Snowbirds, Demo-Hornet, & Harvard 2 should be there. So, to be sur...

Sheesh. I see the usual killjoys are busy on twitter, outraged over the airshow's supposed potentially traumatic impact on refugees, not to mention gratuitous displays of the "expensive toys of the military-industrial complex" and the needless conversion of fuel into noise: https://nationalpost.com/...

I appreciate the above. What I specifically don't like is when they clearly make it a point that we have just arrived early, and then once that is settled, it's mentioned that oh we're gonna sit here for 20 minutes.

Networking is another word for backside kissing. Why doesn't ones experience count for much? ...your attitude, personality and human skills are with you forever - they need to be good enough on day 1 to see you through to the end of your career. Or they at least need to be open to further developme...

Do cabin crew bring pitchers of tap water for service on the flight? If I was on a bus would I demand water be served? Bring a bottle of water or two knowing they don't serve water. What Westjet produced was a forward outlook. All forward outlooks come with legal caveats. Aforward outlook is no more than a guess made on assumptions. What assumptions were used? An assumption of $300 oil for instance could make the outlook look bleak. It would be complete truth based on that ass...

When peddling BS you never make it that obvious. When someone digs into the claim, at a minimum, a plausibly contorted rationalized explanation is required. It’s almost an art at AC.
