Covid Medevacs
Does anyone know who is flying Covid patients out of Alberta? There must be a lot of companies involved if they have to ask the RCAF for help.

Re: Only two replied
I don't want this to sound flippant but how many pilots do you need? The second response you mentioned seems like an acceptable candidate if they have a float rating, why not go with them?

Re: Check That Control Stick Attachment
The rear stick in the Scout CAN be removed. ACA actually makes a cover to go over the exposed stub that remains. It is not the front seat that is the problem, it is the rear seat. The American Champion Aircraft 8GCBC (Bellanca Scout) has a clean stall of 53 mph and a best glide of 55 mph. Do you have a CADOR number for this event? I can't seem to find it in the database.

Re: Full length takeoff
I forget where(australia maybe) the Antonov took out about 150' of chain link fence, and flew with it to afghanistan or something. Great vid A few of the details are a bit different but you may be recalling this one. This was also on landing. https://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20070...

Go big or go home. By 9 of these and watch the mouths drop open. Imagine a 9=plane roll! Bonus capability in the off season.

Re: Just a little miffed - preheating
Agreed. Also, if it is a smaller field, with a single operator on site, I am surprised that the person, if it was indeed their reserved cord, wouldn't just poke their head into the hangar and let you know that they needed "their" cord. I am very proud that aviation seems to be the last bastion of ho...

The Director Of Maintenance would be one of the people that Pilot DAR would be there to work with. This does NOT mean that they own, control or even have anything to do with the parking spots or the power cords serving those spots. Perhaps it was his cord, perhaps it was one that belonged to his com...
