Re: Domestic or International Rotations
I'd consider Borek. There was a time that they'd only rotate you In & Out of Alberta though. If you were out of province, you had to pay that last leg "out of pocket". Anyone know if that's changed? Borek will rotate you to/from wherever your home is that is agreed to when you sign your contract. T...

Re: LASIK anyone?
Had PRK done about 10 years ago. I chose PRK over Lasik due to sports, etc. There is always a change of that flap dislodging. Also... Not sure if they have changed, but please shop around. As great as the Lasik MD ad's sound for 499 an eye (or whatever), ask yourself why they are so cheap compared ...

Occured departing 17. Piled in where you would normally turn base. Straight down.

Re: General Aviation into YYC
Go to YBW unless you want to get gouged....crazy fuel and ramp prices at all FBOs...... They are serious about the restrictions and will write up a CADOR for sure if you operate during prohibited times.

Multi training
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good place to bang off a multi rating in BC or Alberta?
The options seem quite limited around Calgary presently.
Thanks.

Re: And still, CBSA agents are exempt from security screenin
If flight crew have to be screened, everybody should have to be screened. There are others not on the screening order that seem to be exempt as well. Who has a more vested interest in the safety of the flight than the pilots? Sounds good... Clearly pilots have the most vested interest.. Get out the...

Re: And still, CBSA agents are exempt from security screenin
And still, CBSA agents are exempt from security screening at airports because they are more trust worthy than flight crew. http://www.ctvnews.ca/video?playlistId=1.1938185 Are you actually suggesting that CBSA officers should go through screening? Should airport police also be screened? Who then sh...

Re: Crop duster gets shot at in MB.
I have to say, he has a point. The charges seem rather small compared to what could have happened had he hit the pilot or caused the engine to fail at low altitude. I am certain that if an RCMP car was shot at we all know exactly what the charges would be. I don't buy that a police officers life is...

Re: Night Medevacs
I think your time would be better spent advocating for enhanced vision for the job at hand. I agree with what you're saying though, night is dangerous; yes. Will code 1's 2's ever be delayed due to darkness? Nope. What's wrong with head mounted night vision units? Turn night into day. A good unit w...

Cyyc is charging 50 to land. The only place at yyc with avgas is Shell/Landmark and they will likely zap you with a $75-100 ramp fee for a small plane as well.

This whole country is wide open for drug trafficking by all transportation types.............Unlimited de...
