Re: I really like page 16 of the CHRT report
I have been here since 2007- way to long in my view but this subject has dominated with the many sub headings, twisted in many ways unimaginable. I mean how many times can each of you say the other is full of shit. Nothwithstanding the fact it is a done deal PILOTS at AC can WORK beyond 60 yrs old....

Re: Disability Benefits For Pilots Over Age 60
Please explain the upside of FP60? Being able to work past 60? My guess is that you arrived on the property long after I and my cohorts took a pay cut for over a year in order to save junior pilots from being furloughed. Showing any financial deference for anyone or anything but your own pocketbook...

Re: Disability Benefits For Pilots Over Age 60
...the AC pilot group didn't deserve the selfish-greediness displayed by the most senior pilots who benefited throughout their entire career of having pilots retire at 60 and then when it's their turn, they do a double-take and realize that they can sit on top of the pile for 5 more years, with zer...

I'm not too sure if it's just that you've been around the system so long that you inadvertently drank the koolaid or that your for profit motives are just comming to light, you appear to be a intelligent person and I have a hard time believing your at that naive . Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision
It's obvious from posts on this forum that there were ideas. They just weren't exceptable [sic] to the FP60 crowd. Your [sic] no different than the ACPA side. Here's an idea that would be acceptable to "the FP60 crowd". How about if you use a spell checker before you hit the send button? Tell me, w...

Imagine that, a union defending the human rights of its own members, after it has spent 10 years and a huge sum of dollars on legal fees doing just the opposite!
Well, the chickens haven't all come home to roost, at least not yet.

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision
In my humble opinion, those who think this issue is six feet under haven't read the recent court decision very closely. I have to agree with M787 above, that instead of bringing the issue to a close the court simply ducked the key issues, leaving them in limbo for further hearings and more litigatio...

A good start would be to stop wasting so much of the 5 or 10 or 15 years you have left alive in this world typing long paragraphs on this Forum... A good start for you would be to answer a few of the questions posed above. We don't need to persuade anyone of anything here, as if that were possible ...

Re: SOME AGE 60 HISTORY
Frankly I don't care what the courts say. You and a majority of ACPA members, evidently. Which goes a long way to explaining why ACPA is in the situation that it presently finds itself. Respect for the law is fundamental to our society. Disrespect for the law has its consequences. Those who conscio...

Frankly I don't care what the courts say. Like I said, you've co-opted an argument for personal monetary gain that was supposed to protect victims of unfair, immoral and unjust treatment. Retirement under the terms of the previous arrangement were nothing if not fair, in my view. So let me understa...

This isn't a game to me, where we shake hands at the end and say Good Game.. Nor is it to us. Re: FP60 update Federal Court of Appeals
Fanblade: Here is how I see your assumptions. First, you have correctly summarized that there would be a loss of income for the first five years from 2012. Everyone gets that. As Rockie states, after five years everyone's seniority that has been frozen, assuming no retirements, starts to move again,...

Re: Can the illegal acts still be condoned?
No, in the States the majority will be going by Age 65. They still have a limit, we don't. Proof is that George & Neil were over 65 when they came back. That wouldn't have been allowed down South. So if the legislated limit were 99, does that mean that the majority would leave at age 99? Your logic...

Re: Can the illegal acts still be condoned?
Air Canada doesn't care about ACPA; Air Canada only does what is in Air Canada's best interest. Is ACPA any different? Probably not, save for the fact that it makes its current decisions on the basis of a vote that was taken over five years ago, where the question essentially was, "Does the majorit...

I read they considered it. Decided against asking for their money back because after legal expenses it would have been a wash. Where did you read that? So in this ongoing debate, it was always argued by the flypast60 group that the CBA had no bearing on CHR issues. I didn’t read that from any submissions that I have seen the Fly Past crowd post here. What I did read was that they said that the collective agreement could not supersede the human rig...

Maybe the above law changes pale in comparison to the money you can make by crying discrimination. There is a subtle difference, sir. And that difference is telling you what is going to happen, how you and your (our) union could have embraced those changes and worked with the inevitable changes to ...
