Re: WestJet and Sunwing ground collision - YYZ
If WS was waiting for final marshaling into the gate, maybe the tug driver didnt realize he wasnt fully on stand and thought he had more space than he did and proceeded as if WS was further forward. Aren’t wing walkers supposed to remedy this issue? On two occasions I have seen wing walkers taxi ai...

As long as it's done safely that's all that matters. Safety is paramount. A good pilot knows his limits and knows when to say NO. Good LORD. You made this thread worth reading alone! Come to the states and try that sometime. You'd get your license taken away so fast you wouldn't even know where it ...

Take the new job and get the lifestyle you are looking for. You will eventually hate the new job as well but at least your life will be in order, unless you are doing all this to make the better half happy. What makes you say "eventually you will hate the new job too?" As someone thinking about pur...

Oh and Doc if you could fly the ILS inverted with 170 passengers hanging from their seatbelts, like I can, you'd call yourself Supercooljetace too.

Why are you buying a job? Perhaps he has assurance of a job in Asia. Buying a TR is pretty standard in Europe, or any part of the world lacking GA where pilots cannot build hours. It's certainly not "buying a job" - considering the shitty money he'd earn as an instructor or turboprop FO in Canada i...

So now you enter the IMC or (night and IMC) and typical bug smasher POH states emergency descend procedure with slowing down. Given the cloud formations and low ceiling in the winter time in the Southern Ontario, this would mean most likely go below the MOCA and possibly low and slow. Good combinat...

I hate drinking and driving, but I just wanted to pipe up to say...sounds like you have a great attitude KB24. It's good that you learn from mistakes-that's what's really important. Keep it up.

QUOTED With the amount of time and effort that has gone into this thread already with 5 pages so far, someone could have constructed a well written, sensible and emotionally controlled letter to a editor of one of the major news companies outlining the major problems faced in general aviation today...

I'm new to the Canadian industry so I cannot comment on the culture here. BUT, where I was operating in Africa, we had the same issues until we lost a C208. With the amount of time and effort that has gone into this thread already with 5 pages so far, someone could have constructed a well written, ...

they have a restraining order against t.c. Can anyone elaborate? . PC, I believe it means TC cannot show up at their door for an inspection without a days notice. They kept doing surprise visits and inspections (and frickin rights too!) so C got tired of it and had a restraining order put up agains...

Almost every pilot in Winnipeg knew it was only a matter of time. How much are we to blame for not burning this company to the ground? How would we even go about doing so without losing jobs and being blacklisted in the industry. Im sure every person who moved through this company has several horro...

Maybe it is time pilots just have a general strike and ground air transport in this country until something is done. Everyone would have to ...

Well, take a look at who flies caravans around here. Only a couple choices. Missinnippi and Northway are the only ones that come to mind. But I'm pretty sure that Northway wouldn't do that, and I've never heard anything bad about Missinnippi. I can't believe all this. Maybe an accident has never ef...
