Re: Hey old guys.
In the early 70,s I was paying $10/hr for an older 150 (with manual flaps) and 16/hr for a newer one both solo. Dual was an extra $15/hr. Digressing to the rental car conversation.....today a midsize car is considered a Toyota Corolla, not like the old days. The airplanes may have increased in cost/...

Talk to people that used to work for Millard Air.. they used to pay the company to just get the experience.. n...

Re: Airlines Operating under the Guise of Corporate Operatio
After readfing the novel that you spent so long thinking about, I can only say this. Have you ever looked at 704 regulations? Not a hell of a lot different than 604 regs, and where is the "safe cockpit door" there? If you don't like the ride that is being provided for up to the muskeg, maybe conside...

Re: EXXONMOBILE
What I was told from an ESSO dealer, is that it has been decided to "outsource" the ESSO brand of fuel, in order to eliminate the liability from ESSO/EXON. More truthfully, I think it is so ESSO can get out from under the union situation that all Avitat employees are under.

Adding a new type to POC
I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to add a new type of aircraft to their Private Operators temporary POC since April 1/11 ?? If so how was your level of service from TC, and how long did it take to become operational?

Re: Controller/Southwest Crew suspended . . .
So let me think about this for a moment .... if the Boeing was IFR in cruise, and the Cirrus was VFR in cruise, the verticle separation could have been as little as 500 feet, regardless whether they were parallel in track or crossing each others track .... Hmmmm But according to regs. that is ok... ...
