They aren't currently accepting resumes for WestJet on the 737. Last report was they had sufficient folks in the pool to get them through to the end of 2016 for the few that are hired off the street.

Like WestJet, they provide accommodation to those who are not based in the location the training is occurring. YYZ based pilots will get accommodation in YYC and vice versa.

WestJet has a similar policy, you need a primary and secondary flight. If you can't get on either, then you won't be disciplined, however you will lose the pay. They will then try to get you to your pairing or reassign you.

Some 45% of WestJet pilots commute. One third of Encore pilots commute. That's no small number. A good number of those commute to YYC.

That's just WestJet. I'm sure there are a lot of Jazz Q and CRJ drivers that commute to YYC from YVR.

Does anyone have a definitive answer as to do you have 1 year in the pool from your Interview date, if you are successful. Yes, yes and 50-60 is what I last heard. I believe there are two November classes. Probably break for Xmas then in January back to more classes.

The big benefit is for those connecting onto one of these flights from Encore. The addition of an Encore flight from say, YXS to YVR, is only an addition $20.
