Depends on your definite of 'healthy', but I'm hearing 20K as the signing bonus. Whether that is enough to lure away current E175 ACPs and training Captains remains to be seen.

Private forum for pilots to discuss the lotto Max, insult the PM by alluding that he’s a woman / misspell his name, and compare the size their boats.

This conversation is even better on the Dino forum.

I bet those slots would get snapped up and used by a competitor in spite of the current challenges and Bob Deluce. Which competitor do you have in mind? There are not a lot of airlines looking to fly Q400s with restricted loads out of CYTZ. United were allocated a bunch of slots initially, and turn...

Heard from an FA that the company reduced the benefits while increasing the rates? Rumour is they’re trying to get around the retention bonus that was supposed to have been paid? I was there for the first union drive that was turned down. ALPA WOULDNT HAVE SAVED THEM. But it sure would have put its pilots in a better position than they’re in now.

For a good number of pilots, this is the first time they’ve seen ACPA handle a crisis.

And ACPA has failed the Litmus Test, spectacularly.

I hear ya. How much money do you need? If you can’t be happy with 100k/year, then maybe money isn’t the problem. I’ve lived in the highest priced city for about 7 years without breaking 60k. I’ve absolutely mismanaged my career, chasing fun jobs and “settling” when I should have been looking to move...

Re: Future of Canada's Airline Industry

But to go back to the OP, the above examples are rare-a lot of pilots do not have this type of pay or luxury schedule, especially for the first five or so years after starting to work as a pilot. And if most pilots did have that lifestyle, there certainly wouldn’t be a shortage. Don’t compare yours...
