Re: Why won't you support nation wide pilot representation?
Like communism love the idea, but unworkable in real life. Someone who's lived in both communist and western cultures roughly half and half, I can tell you that the west is just as unworkable. It lets far too many idiots do what they want, then praises them for it! Just look at this matter in hand ...

For the next year, fly once a week. That's easier said than done. As much as I do appreciate the fact that there are places such as this, filled by experienced people such as you, willing to offer advice and whatnot, but I must say that your logic is flawed. You seem to be missing the most importan...

One thing that I always find highly interesting when reading these, is that they seem to have 100% copied my persona, especially around "Say what you mean, mean what you say and say it now"/"Make the right decision the first time and NEVER ever change your mind again"/etc....And I'm neither a contro...

Thanks a bunch. Would you happen to know the "tickness" of the main walls and any of the radii that form the edges on the outside?

Yep that's one ugly paint scheme alright!
Thanks CpnCrunch, the idea crossed my mind, but I didn't wanna venture there just yet, if there's publically available(And naturally legal) stuff flying around.

Looking for Short Skyvan data/specs/drawings
Greetings, I'm attempting to find a detailed set of specs for a Short Skyvan. There seem to be a good few sites around that have the basic speed/weight/dimension stuff, but I'm interested in something a bit more detailed. What I'm aiming at is getting something as close to the actual design drawings...

Don't believe the hopeless engineering dream one bit. It ain't what it used to be. It's a bunch of lies aimed at a) Getting your money; b) Wasting a good few(And most important) years of your life!

If you are writing these to any serious extent(Sorry I don't know what exactly this is all about) and need a decent inexpensive software, I'd suggest Celtx. It's freeware, but does a pretty darn good job.

What??!! Doesn't doing the work yourself invoke Newton's Fourth Law: "A constructive thought applied to an individual situated in a cockpit, either in constant motion or a state of rest, will result in an equal but opposite effect of loss of machoism" :smt042 Excuse my probably terrible humor. Yah roughly June/July I'd say. Heard it a few times since, but as you alluded, it was mostly summer months.Married a Canadian wrote:I would be interested to know when you heard 134.17 being used for non ILS monitor traffic...was it in the summer?

Hi again, I'm not questioning your experience - I'm asking on this forum because I want solid answers from those that'd know ;) The only thing that you may have heard was 134.17 being used as a spare frequency elsewhere in the building (when another one is U/S). This can happen from time to time...b...

Re: YZ TCU frequencies
Thank you.
I'm 100% positive on the non-intra-arrival 134.17 handoff, as it was issued by the center controller. The same guy/voice would each time work a lot of other center stuff....hence why I asked. I don't think that feed is up anymore, as they seem to have only left TWR and ARR now.

Re: YZ TCU frequencies
134.17 is used by ILS Monitor. It is used when there are parallel approaches in IMC conditions. Huh interesting. So are you saying that they get sent to 134.17, before going to TWR? I always thought parallel monitors listened to final and tower frequencies and intervened when needed. The reason I a...

YZ TCU frequencies
Hello all, Could someone who has solid source or understanding confirm which frequencies are used by Toronto TCU. The charts seem to indicate that departures are 127.57 and 128.8, with arrivals being 132.8, 124.47 and 125.4, however over the past year or so, on liveatc.net I've heard 134.17 used a l...
