Re: Air Canada Interviews

I got the pool email aswell. I heard from a buddy of mine at AC that the current wait time appears to be 4 months from pool email to a course...as always, just a rumour, but at least its positive thinking ;) Seems up to par with what people are saying on the forum. I interviewed on Sept. 25th...no j...

Re: Skyjet Bond's getting crazy

Well, Slaveboy, if all the ding dongs out there stopped signing these bonds with a smile on their face...maybe these companies would realize that no one is willing to sign and lower the bonds. The answer to this thread is straight and simple...sleezeball operations bond people BECAUSE THEY CAN...no ...

Is their loss of pilots due to company issues or simply increased movement in the industry?

Re: Carson Air Ad

What happens if before the 12 months are up the company you work for goes out of business? Often the bond involves the company taking a bank loan in the pilots name to pay for their training. This might not be the case with your situation, but I encourage all pilots considering signing a bond to as...

Re: Carson Air Ad

This is classic Avcanada gold. I agree! but why all the hate on this website?...yes people have opinions, thats just the way life is. Aviation is very grey and people have different experiences, each person is right in their own situation/experience. Unless someone says that it is good judgement to...

Re: Accident L'Isle-aux-Grues

bonne chance!

I think everyone will be holding several groundschools over the summer months, lots of movement going on...what about Jazz postponing their next groundschools, will that have an impact on CMA's hiring?

Re: Jazz is Done.

Just out of curiosity, if you're at 10 year F/O at Colgan and get upgraded to CA, do you go to year 10 CA wages? Good question...probably not...I think the pay goes by years in that position (ie 3 year f/o goes to year 1 captain at time of upgrade), at least that's how it's done where I work. But o...

Re: Written by a Delta pilot during Japan earthquake

Might not be a fake GRK, Yes he did divert to Chitose, but I highly doubt that the aircraft stayed there very long...I'm sure they went to Narita as soon as the airport re-opened. Chitose was a diversion and not their final destination. Much like Gander and St. John's during 9/11, once they got the ...

Re: Moncton Flight College has gone into receivership

I fly into Moncton quite a bit and on clear days we used to have to stay high till the last minute to avoid the dots littering the TCAS. As of recently its been eerily quiet in the area. Its too bad what has happened here, I hope the school works everything out and gets some competent administration...

I've heard a lot of roasting about pay and conditions at Carson...How much do they actually pay on the metro? anyone know for sure? heard it was something like 21k, but i could be wrong...even so, that's brutal, i mean, even CMA pilots make a fortune compared to that!

Re: What's the market like for new hires?

Shitty idea to wait for the spring. Get in early so you can go flightline in the spring. I'd take a job towing planes if I wasn't flying and I have a few thousand hours. +1 if you have 200 hrs, get in now. why wait till spring? you'll probably be towing planes then anyways. Get in with a decent com...
