Re: PRM question

Apparently, the separate certificate thing has been challenged. Right from two inspectors in July informed me you can be PRM for as many AMO's as you want as long as you control the maintenance. My previous PMI said that because of separate certificates you couldn't but i guess he was mis-informed. ...

Look at the lack of training for both the pilot and dock hand. Seair continues to become the new West Coast Air.

Re: PRM question

PRM for both if there is only one certificate. If the AMO has a separate name and certificate there must be two PRMs.

Re: New AOC 12yr Engine TBO

As i said previously, the only thing to adhere to is hard time. Write your schedule to reflect that. Then at every overhaul ask for a recommendation letter from the engine shop and if they can attest to the engine being able to go further, you can then apply to escalate the hard time. I don't normal...

I am not the one advertising the job. Look in the job section. By suitable i mean Licensed with experience on M1 aircraft. That doesn't mean apprentice.

Re: AME M + S + E license. Is it worthwhile? impressive or

I would say if you are really interested in making aviation your life it may not be a bad thing in time. I first achieved my M1 in 1985. Then some years later i had the opportunity to do extensive sheet metal repairs with some of the best old school sheet metal guys. I went on to add the Structures ...

Re: Trident Trigull

Some of the hick-ups could be the unproven cowling and experimental pusher 550 but all could be done with a big pot of money.
I have to say the little guy took off like a scalded cat. There was a pile of raw material and all the forms and jigs but there is a new manufacturing hangar in it's place now.

Re: Trident Trigull

While the previous owner of Viking was still alive, I worked on the Trigull for many months in the hope that is would go back into production again. It was his baby. A new 550 continental along with redesigned cowlings and leather interior. unfortunately, he passed away just after the prototype was ...

Re: Question: Why do PT6A-27 engines run so much colder than

The -27 typically runs cooler than other engines. I have one now that is idling at 500 C while a 114a idle is 595 C.
If the system resistance is within limits and gages are calibrated there must be no issue.
