Dash-8 writeoff in YYZ
I guess the truck won on this one. Hope the crew is not too banged up. It was just a question of when and not if before such an incident as this one would happen. More cowboys than it appears inside the perimeter fence.

Re: 737 max
Interesting that our illoustrious transport minister has chosen to be reactive and not proactive. All very nice to toady up to the americans but playing a form of russian roulette with passengers lives is a little more than trivial. My question to him is: How much is a life worth and then multiply by...

Re: Dress Code
I agree with having a dress code. How you dress shows the respect you have for those around you. As an employee, have a little respect for the opportunity and the staff involved that get you on your way. Edit typos I bet a swelled head like yourself is a real treat to fly with too. Part of your pos...

Re: What do you think of the new uniforms?
Looking at the new FOM revision...trimmed beards are now allowed. Well, from an outsider who travels extensively, beards, if your CO allows them, will just compound the problem of to many pilots looking like slobs as there are already more than a few that do not grasp the meaning of '' presentable'...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision
From your response we can gather that you brought no motions to end the age 60 retirement, while you were in an official office in ACPA. You sought NO legal advice on the age 60 issue while in a position of influence in ACPA. You did not make any motions to end the age 60 retirement provisions. Cou...

Ok...I think this seems a little rectifying. And if you guys want to accuse me of being a TROLL, then why not. I do confirm with the opening comment: Yes....Air Canada service is BAD and YES employees there are SLACKERS and HATE their job! It seems that people that have written in this forum have n...

Does the word '' others '' used here include all of your confreres that your group cast out on the proverbial iceflow from 2005 till the repeal of mandatory retirement by the Parliament of Canada. ?Fanblade wrote:Rockie wrote:

Re: Air Canada Service is bad
Anyone else thinks that Air Canada's employees have bad attitude towards their customers? I have been with them for a couple of times already and it always leaves me with deep impression that their employees are utterly rude to me. They have always tried to slack off in their work and never given a...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision
"Ageism" bulletin. The hypocrisy pouring out of that bulletin from ACPA is enough to gag anyone familiar with the history. There is not an ounce of credibility behind the words but at least now they are being forced to say them. Does anybody have enough fortitude, backbone, gumption, GUSTS, to post...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision
The point is that the ruling gives a bit more clarity and hope to the young pilots at Air Canada. They can plan their lives with a bit more certainty knowing that at least 70 pilots (who have already had a great career) will not be coming back and causing further stagnation in their career progress...

Re: Next few days.....
You’re missing the point, duke. Pilots such as yourself bemoaned, ad nauseum, the destruction of your careers as a result of FP60, predicting loss of income that would cause pilots to default on their mortgages, and worse. The “sky is falling” chatter went so far as to create fear and prophesy layo...

How do you know they went below mins without visual reference ? . Because they hit obstacles prior to the runway. Just like all below mins crashes. Has a report come out saying this? I think everyone needs to step back and let the investigation run its course We don't need 2 years to figure out tha...

Word to the wise if the 10K is true. Don't spend it just yet because you could require part
or all of it and then some if the current court saga gives all the marbles to the adversary
in the Fly past 60 case. Time will tell

Re: Air Canada Rouge to Begin Toronto Direct to Honolulu
May I suggest looking at the website Seat Plans.com and visualise both AC and AF high density interiors. That should explain the difference in the total number of seats. Also, with a little digging, you should notice that AC's total alloted space per passenger ( width, pitch ) in economy is the smal...

Re: Air Canada Rouge to Begin Toronto Direct to Honolulu
http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1361925/air-canada-rouge-expands-to-hawaii I've heard the legroom is bad enough on those 3-4 hour flights. How long is YYZ-HNL?? Plus, the YVR-HNL and YVR-OGG routes will be converted from Mainline to Rouge as well. It seems that the Rouge empire is expanding with no...

Re: ICAO Removes Restictions on PICs >60, Caps F/Os To Age 6
However, in the same amendment, it has changed from a Recommendation to a Standard the upper age limit restriction on First Officers, matching the maximum age for pilots-in-command at age 64 and effectively ending their ability to operate flights in international airspace at age 65. "Fly till you d...

Now, if he could only figure out who the 1382 were so he could go after them for additional damages. :( I would presume that the way things are going for one side, that could be forthcoming in the not too distant future ... but, one never knows for certain untill the hammer falls. Stay tuned for th...
