Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision

Glad you find it entertaining. If....you get bored of it, (doesn't seem you do, as you keep coming back) there is a great deal of other discrimination cases to read about, except for the "other employee's of AC" that were not represented, by the boot prints on the FP60's back's, from acpa. But acpa,...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision

So......discrimination is legal, and ok, and just business, and above all....gooood, when it is only about money? The fact, that acpa and AC discriminated ONLY against the pilots, was totally ok in your books, as it was all about the money/promotions/vactions, that some....pilots would not get soon ...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision

Read 787 Mechanic's statements again. And...he is not in this issue as a FP60 member. AT AC, only the pilots were age discriminated against! The other unions, backed their members, and had the Arbitrators decide what to do. THEY were re-instated, because, they were age discriminated against, JUST LI...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision

AT Air Canada, ALL, the other unions, agreed, that, age discrimination was age discrimination. ALL the other unions, went to Arbitration, and the end result, was, ALL the members, that wanted to come back to work, for what ever reason, got to, EXCEPT the pilots. So....how is it, that AC can accept, ...

Re: No Clear Winner in FCA Mandatory Retirement Decision

Raven Thanks for your post. Pleased to hear you have not had any problems with the age 60 issue. However, I see you are not yet at/over 60, so that may change. Hope not. Currious, will you be staying past 60? You stated that you have the 35 years in, so pension not an issue, except for the new MPU'...

Rocky

Would you please post this so those of us who are not "washed" clean, (force-retired) can read acpa's bulletin?

Thanks.

Re: Next few days.....

DP We are all happy (FP60 and NON FP60 like Doug) that there is progression for all the pilots, junior, middle, senior. That is a given. Sometimes its faster than others, but it is always there,(progression) just like death and taxes. You are not versed on the realities of the offers that Raymond Ha...

Re: Next few days.....

Duke Point DP..... According to your many posts, about the total doom of the age 60 rule changing, and how the pilots were so greedy that wanted to keep there jobs, and according to you, the whole pilot progression issues, was going to be a disaster, and on and on, how come, you are so up......now??...

Re: Air Canada Pool

Ah Yeah There are not a couple of hundred who want back in. That time, due to extended court battles has pasted. Most of the aprx. 200, who were force retired, and did something about, it, (we all filed an appeal with the CHRC within one year of forced termination) are now past 65, so your remarks a...

Re: FP60 update Federal Court of Appeals

FANBLADE I see on another forum, that aprx. 20-30% of the AC pilots are retiring at age 60. How does that affect your formula? Your numbers don't make sense, on the entire issue, and it is even further reduced, due to variable retirements actually happening as we type away at this issue. Could someo...

Re: SOME AGE 60 HISTORY

DP Raymond has not taken any money from the members of the FP60 Coalition in the form of fees, from any of us. He has worked endlessly on this important issue. He is not, in this to make money. Raymond has always stayed the course, and has tirelessly gone to court, to get the proper legal result for...

Re: SOME AGE 60 HISTORY

Dukepoint (DP) You signed on at AC, when the age was 60. So.....I assume you will take your own wise advise, and retire at 60, REGARDLESS of what the revised age is? Please let us all know, that you are willing to go at 60, just like the contract said, when you joined, and you so adamantly have expr...

When Should the fight have started you say? CANADA http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=6aYyAAAAIBAJ&sjid=6O4FAAAAIBAJ&pg=1288%2C4028935 USA Supporters of the rule acknowledge that the choice of 60 is arbitrary. It originated in the 1950's, when three airlines, including American, tried to force the...
