callforproposals They don't think, they dictate and a pilot is required to disclose this info to the AME. Jaques, TC dictates many things. However, if the system isn't realistic in terms of it's expactations on the pilots (even as a minority ), then it won't work. In that case, use your best judgem...

Jaques and Cat Driver - Your explanation and logic works in theory, but how practical is it? I'll put out two of my initial questions again: 1) Does TC really think that a pilot taking Effexor (anti-depressant) is going to disclose this information to the AME? 2) Also, with such strict confidentiali...

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a real/potential problem with medication and aviation medicals? How can a pilot be expected to disclose medications he/she is using if there is always the potential that a medical can be denied? Does TC really think that a pilot taking Effexor (anti-depressant...

Wow! Glad I posted this message. Thanks for all the great suggestions. The general consensus seems to be to stay ahead of the aircraft through planning, as well as getting lots of practice. Hopefully my first job in the industry gives me the opportunity to learn from more experienced captains before...

On the approach.

I'm curious about how people have trained themselves to relax and calm themselves down during high stress times when flying IFR in actual IMC, particularly when on the approach. I'm sure it eventually becomes second nature, but I find that as a newly Instrument rated pilot, I am quite often extremel...

Checklists

I'm relatively new to the whole aviation gig, and don't have any two-crew experience. But I've been wondering how a typical two-crew environment works with the checklist? For the sake of simplicity, let's suppose a C172 was being flown two crew and the pilots were running through the pre-start check...

Perimeter hiring?

Since the last post on Perimeter and hiring is now several months old:

Does anyone know when the next groundschool is planned for, and how many guys they are thinking of moving into F/O spots?

Also, how many from within the company and how many external?

Any other news?

Thanks!!! :D

Class IV Jobs in Ontario?

Anyone know of any flight schools in Ontario looking for a Class IV Instructor who has a strong desire to teach?

I'm desperate for a job, and am slowly losing hope! :(

Thanks in advance...

Fox Flight posting.

Does anyone have more information/gouge on Fox Flight? They have a positing in the Job Ad section looking for a dispatcher/office worker. It says there would be no consideration given to switching to a flying position for a minimum of two years. So, with that said: 1) Has anyone actually made it suc...

Perimeter

Was curious to know what is currently happening at Perimeter.

Are they still only taking guys off the ramp?
What is a typical wait time?
Any other tips or advice?

Thanks!
