Re: Recall of the NC

If you are all that unhappy, there is the door. Go to the US or whatever Utopian airline that will cater to your every whim, pay you a ton of money and only allow you to work 8 days a month. Best of luck in your future endeavours.

Re: It is imminent.......be ready.

I'll leave this here gents. Screenshot_20240801_140133_LinkedIn.jpg Pretty sure AC career earnings are significantly less than Allegiant...a US ULCC... Not trying to play Devil's Advocate here, but without posting Canadian numbers, can you see the disparity? Canada DOESN'T have 88,000 pilots in tot...

Re: How bad is commuting

I'm with AC and been somewhat junior most of my career. Just starting to see some better senority. I commuted to domestic reserve for a year in 2007-2008. Wasn't too bad as I was flying out pretty much each month. I did 7 months overseas reserve on the 767 in 2012-2013, but that was way more predict...

Re: How bad is commuting

Everyone has a different story about commuting. Personally, I have commuted for my entire 21yr AC career. Mostly YVR based and live in SK. First few years, had family in YVR that I stayed with. Was down in YYZ for 1.5yrs and that was awful. Not just because it was YYZ, but mainly the flop house cras...

Re: COVID MOA 2

Tony will soon be leaving the ranks of Air Canada. Not too worry though, Baby Fidel(Trudeau) has the perfect position high up in the Liberal Gov't. Soon to be appointed Ambassador to the UN. That way the CIA can protect him, just like TruDashian.

Re: AC forum

Anyone still having problems? Has taken a really long time to load up, then most of the time I seem to be getting a general error page. After some fooling around, I finally get there(kind of like a blind gynecologist). I guess we have had so many forum shut down's and start ups, the administrators a...

Re: Thanksgiving Special

Mark, That was absolutely Class A+++ in my books! Well done. I too commute on WJ on a semi-regular basis out west to YVR. If possible, I always ask to be seated at back so I am last off the plane and express my thanks to the crew for giving me a ride. I try to help with the seat belts as often as po...

Re: Wanna Crop Spray?

I have to admit, so of the best fun I've had has been going back n' forth. I miss flying taildraggers. Good money during the summers, but you need something else to do during the winter. Not a real time builder. 250 hours is a really busy summer. Been out of it now for over 10 years as my office is ...

Re: jazz guys in the jumpseat

I commute from yqr-yvr and Jazz, WJ aside is my ride to work. I have been in the flight deck a few times and have been more than welcomed everytime. I, like Rick knock, introduce myself and thank the guys/gals for allowing me in their flight deck. I thank them again upon deplaning. I speak when spok...

YVR Crashpad

Wondering if anybody is looking for a crashpad in yvr? I am an AC commuter and have the opportunity to take over a 1 bedroom in yvr shortly. I am only in yvr 3-5 nights a month, so the chances of sharing space is limited. Place has a kitchen, cable tv, high speed internet, shared laundry, 1 parking ...

Re: Pilot Jobs in/near Regina

Southern isn't around anymore. RFC is always seems to be turning over instructors. Tom Ray is the General Manager there. Really good guy. Have known him for over 20 years. The only real option here in yqr is Westwind. Their main base is yxe, so you have to get in there to get in here. SK Gov't is a ...

Crashpad or Apt for Rent

Am just transferring back to yvr from yyz with Big Red. Stayed with my "outlaws" when I was based there before, but found out today they are moving over to yyj in May. So I am looking for any info on a crashpad or possibly an apt/condo, to rent. My "outlaws" are renting a place on the North Shore, s...

Heard of This?

Talked with a buddy of mine yesterday and he told me that he did not get a pfo letter, but a call from hr that he was being kept in the pool and to call them back in the spring as he would have to do it all again. I was speechless as did not know what to say as I have never heard of this before. Hap...
