Bravo Doug,
And you are NOT one of the few who fought the FP60 fight, thought I might add that for the naysayers! You are however one of the few who can see the whole (BIG) picture, well done.

Re: Air Canada Pool
There's a whole bunch of Jazzers already interviewed and accepted. If they needed 100 pilots tomorrow, they would have 80 Jazz pilots available. What about the "ripple effect", if Jazz let 80 pilots go to AC do they not have to start hiring to replace them and if so have they started to hire/train ...

Re: Pilot Shortage
I'd be happy to fly for a regional airline and will do so once they offer a respectable wage. Everybody knows there is no shortage of pilots, just a shortage of pilots with a money tree in their back yard that they use to subsidize their career. Unfortunately you are the minority of one, as pilots ...

Dukepoint (DP) You signed on at AC, when the age was 60. So.....I assume you will take your own wise advise, and retire at 60, REGARDLESS of what the revised age is? Re: FP60 update Federal Court of Appeals
The important point here and the one you simply seem incapable of getting is that if everybody works to 65 their total compensation increases. False. Actually I think the important thing for me to understand is that Rockie's persona dominates the age 60 debate on this forum. If he doesn't like the ...

Let me ask a question......... If all pilots hired prior to Dec 2012 signed on knowing the "normal retirement" day was the first day of the month following their 60th birthday, why then are they (all of you) not retiring and the pilots hired after Dec 2012 then retire at age 65! The disturbing thing is, there are "fly past 60 " guys who would take the money with a smile on their face.
