Did anyone expect a different result?
It will be the same for the pilots.
Doomed as doomed could be.

Re: Would you want the WJ pilot's contract?
Funny how the poll shows that the majority of pilots want the expired contract back! Yes, the concessionary one signed in 2003 during CCAA! So much for the $30M we have squandered since April 1st of last year. We deserve what we get. Don't you mean the contract prior to 2003, which is the one(with ...

"If this was truly about discrimination, the majority of the litigants would be happy to settle and return to work, not hope for a fat settlement cheque with no designs on exercising their new rights to continue to fly." I will gladly settle for the the remuneration I have lost, and, I am ready to g...

Try "Qantas" instead.

Re: ACPA Implodes !
Why do you have a problem with retired pilots working? Should we lock them up in a retirement home? Maybe we sould turn them into Soylent Green? LIS, I wonder if you would be even asking that question if you had a son, or daughter, who was trying to get their first flying job and found their way bl...

Re: ACPA MEC Chairman FIRED!
A tentative agreement has been negotiated. The company does not wish to amend it. The association members will vote on that agreement. If rejected by the members, then and only then does fresh negotiations need to happen. Why would the company want to bargain away any part of the huge concessions gi...

Doug,
As usual, your analysis is spot on!
Hopefully, the rank and file will see the light and vote the new agreement down.

With friends like the Strach, who needs enemies.
I'm still hoping against hope that I can get back to work ASAP, in the left seat, before I hit the big 65. Though 777 F/O can't be all bad.
Sorry for the thread creep.

Re: AC YTZ service is a go. Service to start May 1st
Didnt the let that allowed AC to have another tier feeder expire? I take it ACPA has allowed it finally? Yes ACPA is onboard, and the new terms being negotiated between AC and ACPA will not allow for ACPA's say on where the tier 2 (or 3) flying goes from now on. My bet is on the cheapest bottom lin...

Paraphrasing Strachan at the hearing today: He basically said entry level pilots are paid too little, but senior pilots are paid too much to balance things out. Is that what the negotes team is taking into their meetings with the Company? Was that the best argument he can put forward? You guys are d...
