Re: Unusual traffic in Canadian skies?

As for drones, I've been finding reports of Canadian flights having near-misses with them at FL200 and above! It seems beyond DANGEROUS that civilians are legally allowed to purchase drones with that kind of range, no? I'm sure you already know this as it is public information on TC site; In Canada...

Re: Unusual traffic in Canadian skies?

Hello Daniel.o, Not sure if you are aware, but presently there are more drones in Canadian skies than airplanes. So that alone poses a problem in itself for your research with drones impacting airplanes over Canadian airspace. May I suggest you contact the current and past Minister of Transport in h...

Re: Getting Into Cargo Business with C208B

Hello, I am a mechanical engineer and flight instructor from Toronto, Ontario. My friend and I are planning to purchase a C208B Super Cargomaster and get into cargo operation as a (sub)contractor. I have tried to contact many of the major cargo companies such as CargoJet, DHL, Morningstar (FedEx Ca...

Re: "COVID pricing" for aircraft sales?

Is it just me, or does the current market for aircraft seem ridiculously overinflated? Is this an effect of COVID and people wanting to do more socially distanced activities (like flying?) Last spring I was looking as a cash in hand buyer and made the decision to do some home renos instead, and bum...

Re: Calin is retiring February 2021

Professionals across the board invest money, time and effort to earn their qualifications: just ask a lawyer. Or an engineer. Or a physician. Or an architect. Pilots aren’t unique. On the other hand: you're absolutely correct that responsibility for 200 – 300 souls on board means that the stakes in...

Re: Terrible news for the Air Canada work force...

Just an interesting observation. China has 17% of the world population yet only 1.7 % of reported infections. So, how the f%^k did they manage to only have 1/10 of everyone else in a country that has massive cities with major population densities. Some things are definitely not adding up. I think w...

Any good pilot knows that you should stand beside your brothers and sisters especially in times of crisis. The mark of a great pilot is the one who can do it with some humour. Unity is all around you, always has been. Please...don't. I can't....just ease me into it. :D It's been a decade of p...

I would love it if this unprecedented aviation downturn could finally bring pilot unity. But as the above posts demonstrate... it will never happen It didn't in good times and that ended about 78 minutes ago. Literally Instead....Embrace it. It will make you tough when you're driving coast to coast...
