The airline flies out of CDG, is based there and the front end crew is mostly based in France. Do not have any info on back end crews.

Re: Question

As you write, the following is only speculation as I was never party to '' inner sanctum '' secrets but I did hear, more than once, some off the cuff comments from members from the head shed and the one that seemed to irk AC a lot was that they had to leave pax bags behind when using the 340-300 on ...

Re: Question

An unequivocally YES, for the the 340-500 and a '' you betcha '' for the 340-300. Airbus build '' thinking man '' airplanes and the 340-500 has all the best Airbus had to offer when it came into being. The one drawback was a non negligible glitch in the fuel distribution system that brought about an...

Re: Happy Birthday, You're Fired!!

Just for the record in this thread, not everybody that continues to work beyond the first day they qualify to retire does so because they need the money. As difficult as it is for some posters to understand, there actually are people that enjoy doing what they're doing because it's what they've wan...

January 2013 AC pension amount

To all retirees from Air Canada living in the Province of Quebec, check your pension payout amount for January 2013 as there could be an error in the Quebec income tax deducted from your pension.

Re: Back to the table, and positive energy

This company is their own worst enemy. Things have been relatively calm since the union and company have agreed to go back to the table for ten days of negotiations. This is all the pilots have wanted in the first place even though few people have much faith that the company has changed their attit...

Re: Question For Ray and Over 60

It's the same questions as to why the fight started after you and your group turned 60 and not 10yrs before? BL To oversimplefy the answer, one cannot file for discrimination before one has been discriminated against, in other words, one has to wait until one's employment has been teminated by reas...

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repealed!!!

What I find difficult to understand is Air Canada's and the ACPA's head in the sand position on this. That makes two of us wondering about AC's and ACPA's stand on this, considering the obvious. Could it be wrongly placed pride ? Plain stupidity does not enter into the equation because of the shear...

To refute what you wrote, as long as I am on this earth, Raymond Hall will not run out of money. Is that clear enough for you or do I have to spell it out in some foreign langage.

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repeal Passes 2nd Reading in Parlia

And just who is this ACPA that you want to screw so bad? This big bad union that deceives everyone and has ruined your livliehood and denies your rights to come back and fly? Well, its us. We are ACPA, every line pilot now flying. Your former colleagues. You hate ACPA then you hate us. You want to ...

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repeal Passes 2nd Reading in Parlia

Obviously I poked a hornets nest. Mac I see you edited your post to avoid my response. You can also relax on the cog test, I don't work at AC and never will. The pension would be to small. (joke) Instead of working longer wouldn't it make more sense to attempt to get max pension sooner? Make max pe...

Re: New TA reached!

From the information feed to me, the underlying feeling from the exchanges is that the junior part of the barganing unit is trying, who is now in the majority, numbers wise, by any way possible, to pay back those that have been on the premises for more than a few years by taking away part of their ...
