Re: End of a chapter in the shuttle program

All this space and moon stuff was neat, but the moon is dead! Now that they found that out, they should instead now spend taxpayers money on better things, like homelessness and aids research.

Re: Airplane into building in Richmond.

I struggle with the concept that if someone sues to recover a substantial loss .... likely many tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of dollars, that they are suddenly guilty of committing a cash grab, driven by greed, abetted by opportunity. I return to the question for those of you th...

Who cares how they came up with the formula? Just use the numbers in the chart, and be done. Waste of ink, all that other crap.

Re: Too cold for Pistons?

Why does the AIM have section 9.17.1 explaining how the "Altitude Correction Chart" was calculated with that wild formula for calculating cold temp corrections? Did David Phillips write this part?

Anyone?

Remember the classy way Harmony shut down? They gave a months advance notice of a hard date, allowing people tp plan accordingly and not get screwed. That's the proper way to conduct business.

Too bad Zoom, Jetsgo etc. try to milk it out until the creditors shut 'em down, leaving pax screwed.

Re: AC f/o snaps - plane makes emerg landing

A psych. eval. is not to try and determine if you're mentally ill, it's to try and see if you are the kind of person who fits their 'profile' of what they want an AC pilot to be like. CORRECT - it gives AC the ability to weed out 'non-preferred' demographics, and thus hire more women and visible mi...

Re: Sonicblue TSB Report to be Released

Enough about quotes.

Getting back to the blade hours, the blade failed after 1991 hours in an engine that they should have been fine in for 3600 hours.

I think that brings into question the SE IFR reliability issue.

Re: Sonicblue TSB Report to be Released

It does not matter how well built an engine is if it is operated outside of manufactures written recomendations. If it is operated outside of the TC approved maintenanace programmes. The data is missing for a reason ,that reason is probably the main cause of the failure . The airplane had more than ...
