Re: Canadian Air Force

I'm not picking on the RCAF, I'm only suggesting to wannabe airforce pilots to have some flight training before showing up at Portage, to better their chances of being selected to go on to become fighter pilots, My personal experience with the flight school in Portage is that the instructors there a...

Re: Canadian Air Force

I don't know of any fighter jet pilots in the canadian military to achieve 5000 hours of flying, like some of you said previously most end up behind a desk, The military training is a very structured one even, the flight instructures are not given much freedom with the students, unlike flight traini...

Re: Canadian Air Force

FYI as a flight instructor for over thirty years with more than 20 thousand hours of flight instruction I spent two weeks in Portage flying the Grob 120, many of the new wannabe pilots were sent home after their first flight because they couldn't stomach being put through a couple of steep turns, Po...

Re: Flight Aware

I must make a correction regarding Flight Aware, I was not banned from the site but some of my comments were taken down, by the administrators of the site, Some advertisers must have complained to the company. So I'm free to make comments again just as long as I don't ruffle any feathers.

I fully agree, but I tried putting canadian tire truck tires on my airplane but it just didn't look right , saying Boeing should be making toaster's instead of airplanes is not all that bad, is it.

Re: Missing Caravan

In one of the news articles it said that the aircraft was located by burn marks on the ground, if the aircraft burned it would explain why the ELT was not transmitting. The other possibility is that the transponder was removed for service which is also legal, The pilot's flight plan would have indic...
