Re: never mind

Good thing a lot of us took screen shots of this childish rant. That was a keeper. Like him or not, the cheap shots and blatant disrespect directed at Capt. Adamus was totally uncalled for. In his defense, I do find it a bit funny that pilots -and mainly captains- seem to find it important that the...

Re: Air Canada and Westjet...what a joke

Since there are no meaningful studies on the effects of cannabis, can I assume there are the same amount of studies on second hand smoke from it as well? Without that, how could the Ontario governments make it legal to smoke pot where ever it’s legal to smoke cigarettes? To me this means I can walk...

Re: Cannabis Policy ???

They could have said they "support current legislation" or whatever. But the circular they sent out ruined any chance of leverage to get something from the company for dictating what we do in our off time. Not too thrilled. Exactly. At some point someone will challenge this in court. Those who obje...

Re: New bottle to throttle rules

Perhaps I will be the first to say" The new rule sucks!" Wow, 13 hrs now bottle to throttle, meaning most of us have lost another 2 hrs of drinking before departure. We can fly exhausted (which is like having drinks in the system) yet we cannot have a drink less then 13 hrs before departure now. Ha...

Re: past use of marijuana and drugs

Hi I am in my early twenties right now, I'm still a couple years from applying to Air Canada or Westjet. As like many kids in high school I experimented with marijuana and other drugs recreationally but it was never a problem for me, I haven't done any "other drugs" in years and I have recently sto...

Yes the EMB is a pain in the ass computer. I personally hate having to explain to people over the PA that we are doing this. Get the question why, well its like we turn the program off and restart it, if it doesn't work then we restart the computer, if that doesn't work we turn off the computer lea...

The uniforms are peices of sh¡t. The less time in them the better. The VF uniform, while still a bulk purchased uniform was okay. Unysync is terrible, with worse customer service.
So far I’m finding the unysync quality to be the same as VF. Being a normal build I find the pants a much better fit

Maybe we should all send emails to congressman who are more interested in this. anybody here want to organize ...

Re: Twin Otter trivia: Hours held by the highest time pilots?

About 10 years ago Lester Powell figured in had in excess of 40,000 on the Twotter. He obviously stopped looking but a guesstimate using an average of hours/years out him well over 40k. You won’t find a nicer fella, consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to sit in the right seat next to ...

The contract has no play here. It doesn't say anything. You can choose any seat AC allows you to choose. AC has always had ultimate control on our seating and passes, it isn't in the contract. In the past we could sit in premium econ, but alas no more. So AC is on top of and aware of what you can a...

The FOM supersedes whatever transport comes out with anyways....so AC can definitely ban it for their pilots. Hey guys, quick one for you. Been studying through crew rest/proficiency rules and seeing the term sector used a bunch. It’s not a term we use in the Air Force. Re: Twin Otter trivia: Hours held by the highest time pilots?

Maybe someone could ask Lester Powell in Goose Bay. I recall someone telling me his rediculous total time on the Twotter and I believe it was way over the 20k mark. This is what I was thinking. Lester, Benny Powell or Romaine Butler all have an absolute gob of time on the Twotter. Lester would have...
