As a roaming Fed ship it will probably be in BJI when their water opens (to start the contract days) and ELO if required later on.

Re: Bracket for iPad.
I have Ram suction mounts for both my iPad and 696 (as well options for screwed/clamped hard mounts) and have found them to work well. Just make sure you find a flat spot on the windscreen (the a/c I fly have 2 different sized WS and the smaller is more critical as it has released my 696 on the rare...

Re: Crop Spraying
Yeah those numbers were just a rough reference to the percentage system. Some operators will pay more, or less depending on experience/time on the airplane and/or the contract. "I don't do crops but drank at mumerous Holiday Inns during the summer with pilots who do and that's what they told me." Th...

Re: Crop Spraying
As the usual progression to the 802 is through the 502, you will be trying to attract experienced pilots and the pay would/should be somewhere around $350 - $500 per day base and as much per hour for the pilot. $400/$400 is pretty standard.

BananaS, I wouldn't try and plan a path through the seats in a CL...some guys have made the switch in as little as 3 years while others have taken more than 12...it can be about your attitude, your abilities, your seniority number, expansion or retirements, or simply put " the Right seat at the righ...

NS, I think you may be referring to the BAE-146 with your comments. Same frame, different engines and a bit of glass up front will make all those problems go away. Time will tell how it stacks up to the Q400, Turbo Fire Cat or F27.

Re: Blulink MP3/Cell Adapter
I have it and it works great with my helmet. The music cuts out when ATC calls and I have used the phone portion during higher power settings without issues. There are cheaper plug in options out there, but the blue tooth is a great way to go. Clean and easy to use.

And with Conair now owning a piece of Aero Flite in the US, it will be interesting to see where that 1st one ends up in 2013.

Re: New helicopter job posting smells like a scam
I suspect that the job is legit and they are looking for a pilot to fill the other seat in order to do commercial ops in RAK (UAE). It would be a great opportunity for a low timer. Until recently, even fixed wing ops needed 2 crew for point A to B flights in the UAE and this (helo-copilot) could be ...
