Re: United We Stand

Very well said! Thanks for your post bro. Too bad no one remembers the 14 'Art Students', Urban Moving Systems trucks, the 5 dancing Israelis who by the way were arrested then extradited back to Israel where they went on TV and bragged that they were there to document the events. But yeah sure let's...

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft

Hey Tbaylx, Enough with the cavalier attitude. Every time we here that disgusting call sign on the radio we all die inside. My "jumpseat" will never be open to the "26". Pound sand, Regards, The rest of Canadian aviation You sound way too emotional. Very few people care about ''Your'' jumpseat. And...

Re: Tired of the Canadian Aviation Industry

I am an FO for a regional and run my own business on the side and still struggle to support my family in Toronto. I'm considering ditching the whole airline dream and going back to my software engineering career. Living beyond ones means is usually the cause of struggle now days. For example I bet ...

Re: How did it work out?

Hi tbaylx, Let's say you go OTS in september and then Encore people meet their requirement by december how will they be positionned on the seniority list in regards to the previous OTS already hired ? Thanks. Rezy pretty much nailed it, OTS will be bumped down the list by any pilots currently on th...

Looking at Jazz payscales, it takes 13 years for a captain to make 103$/hour which is year 1 at Swoop.

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft

LOL! Oh, I get it now! You're using the "but he started it" defence. Makes perfect sense and nicely compliments your "nana nana boo boo, I'm right you're wrong" celebration in an early post. My bad... They let you guys fly airplanes? No wonder they were trying to hire OTS Hahaha. I'm an avera...

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft

How do you feel about hypocrites? Personally, I would add names of pilots who support swoop pilots to the blacklist, care to share your name eyebrow? Also, only an idiot would not realize that doing the flying for a wholly owned subsidiary of WJ for 40% less salary would be contentious! Mastib8r , ...

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft

Do people really use the jumpseat? Travel passes are enough most of the time. During my 2 years of commuting I have never asked for a jumpseat. I used to just buy standby tickets.

Re: Casablanca

Looking at Flightradar24 and saw AC Rouge B767 heading to Casablanca Morocco, didn’t know AC had such a route. Bet that would be an interesting layover and country for sure to look about. Reminds me of that 1969 Crosby, Nash, Stills and Young tune Marrakesh Express(from Casablanca going south)........

Apparently money is being made, the route is being switched to mainline.

As for the destination, been once, and that was good enough for me.
why is that? I have been to Casablanca many times and It's one of my favorite destinations.

Re: Gloom & Doom Q2 outlook...are you kidding?

I’m wondering if tbaylx has received his pink slip yet, it’s such a shame that such a standup guy has to find a new job, maybe a legal name change will at least get you off the blacklist. I would leave your short stint at swoop off your resume though. You keep implying that swoop pilots have lost t...

Does anyone know how many Swoop pilots were on the property? What was the breakdown between contract/permanent?
Just curious: are you saying swoop pilots have been laid off? Where did you get this information from?

AvifiskAlly is correct and GTAnorth has some very precise info. I had a good time at GGN. The only reason I left for Jazz is because I absolutely hate commuting and I live in Montreal. If you are a positive person in life, and you don't mind working a bit hard, like fast-paced environments (the flig...

Re: Accepting applications for First Officers & Direct Entry Captains

It's unreal that a Low Cost Carrier pays their F/Os more than Jazz, Encore, Sky and Porter. Jesus! Just goes to show you how much money is being made off your back's while flying the flag. It really is a disgrace and I'm ashamed to be one of those individuals that accepts this salary. Not for long ...
