What is the ideal level of atmospheric carbon dioxide?

If regulators had the ability to adjust the percentage or parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in the manner you set the thermostat in your dwelling, accounting for all we know about science and biology where would the level be set?

Re: Skeptic Confirms GW Real, Arctic Melt Accels, SRM Testin

We know that oil is not fossilized so the term fossil fuel needs some clarification. This is what I found. The modern term “fossil fuel” is a linguistic relic from the sixteenth century and earlier times when any natural object or substance dug from underground was a fossil. Conradi Gesneri, publish...

Re: Skeptic Confirms GW Real, Arctic Melt Accels, SRM Testin

That article was intended to be misleading. Professor Richard Muller was never considered a global warming contrarian. His work did expose the program used to create the hockey stick temperature graph as fraudulent, as it would make a rising graph from any data used. For this work the cause nearly c...

During the flare rotor rpm will increase as the energy from the airspeed is absorbed by the rotor. Increasing pitch may be necessary to keep rotor speed from exceeding the high rpm limit.

They ask your altitude to confirm the mode c altitude, but why don't they then say what their display reads so that confirmation goes both ways?

Re: Mode C Transponder into a Cessna 150

Now ask yourself if you want a transponder. There are only a few airports which require them, and they tend to not be the sort of place private aircraft want to go because of heavy traffic, expensive parking, long taxis, and pavement to wear out the tires. Occasionally crossing the border can be don...

Of course. However the sex of the animal is not irrelevant regarding one loose in town. A bull behaves quite different than a cow.

That is a failure in headline writing.
Dirty Harry was a great movie, I see no failure.

You don't see a problem with asking a cow how HE feels?

Re: CUPE serves strike notice for Oct 13, 2011

The subversive activities are from the unions own political action page. You can decide for yourself which activities have no bearing on the work related negotiations of its members. Exercising a vote to strike is not subversive, not by me or anyone I know. Can you explain why a private business is ...

Re: CUPE serves strike notice for Oct 13, 2011

It sounds like Rockie skimmed over the headlines and made assumptions over the content of the article. At this point I don't need to advocate for anything but for the Canadian Union Of Public Employees to cease its subversive activities which have no relevance to the work of its members. Thirty year...

Re: Lisa Raitt may be in apparent conflict of interest

Yes I can recognize that. There is a danger in pursuing this course of action. Airline staff may become hesitant to put passengers in a different seat to avoid issues, and may rather bump them off the flight entirely while first class seats are empty. Ministerial travel is paid for by the government...

Re: Lisa Raitt may be in apparent conflict of interest

I think Rockie is saying that the seat change is not important because it was improper conduct to use Air Canada while involved with the negotiations of that company. Does the government have contracted long term transportation with the airline, and therefore would the media have faulted her for usi...

Is the conflict that she sat where she was told to sit, or that she used Air Canada?
