Re: 4000 PIC/Turbine/Floats, looking for ideal 1900/350/200
Hey there, Just had a question about Northern Thunderbird Air, can anyone help me out? I am low time pilot, but with lots of northern experience and dispatch experience. Would a company like this do ramp/dispatch and into a flight line position? Or perhaps dispatch and fly part time until you have ...

Re: North Cariboo Air
I have always thought NCA would be a great place to work... Is there any truth to the YVR base rumour? If anyone on the board has any insight, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Keewatin
The best way to find out would be to apply, and see if you get a callback. (or PFO). Good luck, I applied there a couple years ago with mostly instructing time, and no job for me. But, the overall industry turnover seems to be greater now.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Re: First time poster looking for a little help
I think you're on the right track. I attained my MIFR after about 800 hrs. of instructing and single engine air taxi. This helped me more than I appreciated at the time, it took me far less hours and cash to finish the ratings than my 200 hr. peers. I got my first multi turbine job at around the 100...

Re: AirSprint Fleet Transition
I must give credit where its due. It would seem that Airsprint HR is perfectly happy to share company policies with internet people.. Whereas some companies that I have worked for were very happy to keep us in the dark and "adjust" policies when it suited them. Once I log a few more hours on the 704...

Re: Days off from duty
The way I read this is as follows: If you are on duty for 27 consecutive days, it is required that you get 3 off. If you work 28 consecutive days or more , then you are required to have 5 days off. Having said that, I believe to go to 42 days you need Operations Specifications for that. I can't reme...

Re: Single or multipilot operation?
All of the aircraft examples you listed can fall under part 703, so for commercial ops they can be flown single pilot. For operations above FL250 you will need two crew as per part 703. For single pilot IFR operations, the standards require a working 2 axis autopilot, chart holder and boom mic, and ...

Re: Known Ice PA31 Navajo?
skip piston, go cheyenne Being turbine powered, don't you need a CAR 604/POC and all the overhead that it entails? What's the wait time for a POC now? Six months? A year? April of this year saw major changes to the POC rules.. Part 604 now applies to Jet and large aircraft only. I can't remember th...
