King Air 200 operators in or around YYB

Hey everyone,

Looking to find any 200 operators close(ish) to North Bay that would have an aircraft available for charters. This would be starting in spring of 2023 for a period of a few months.

Asking for a friend 😉

Thanks!

Re: SkyMed - CBC

“Transport Canada” was not approved by the legal department, so it became “Aviation Authority”. Do you know what the issue was for that? I'm a bit surprised, it's like not using 'RCMP' or 'Police' in a series. The reasons vary, but in the end legal teams decide what can and can’t be used. Actually,...

Re: SkyMed - CBC

Hey fellow pilots! Thanks for giving the show a chance. I understand your initial fears as we’ve all been there when a new flying show pops up, just to see our much beloved profession completely altered or minimized. Accuracy is very important to the series creator but always had to be balanced with...

Home Insurance for Pilots

Hey folks, I'm about to become a new homeowner and I'm looking into death and disability insurance that will cover the mortgage if one of us makes an early exit. Does anyone know of any good insurance companies that don't try as hard to cash in on the myth of aviation being a dangerous field of empl...

I have the manual from groundshcool, but this is more of a compact quick reference that can fit in a flight bag. I guess it's kind of rare though.

Thanks anyway!

Where to buy systems manuals

Hey everyone just finished a recent 1900C groundschool, and the instructor pointed out a nice manual that covers all the aircraft systems. The company is apparently called "Aviation Solutions". I tried searching, but couldn't find anything like it. Does anyone know where to find these type of things...

Not bad, but it's true, everyone was young and able bodied and just not running for their lives. I saw a video of a brilliant evacuation test done by the TSB. They filled an aircraft and told the participants that the first people to evacuate and reach a given area would be paid $5000 each. THAT, wa...

I don't know about the roll out, but there are some decent spots near the runway for the first flight. A friend of the wife and I works at Boeing and was giving us all the details on the first flight date, which I believe is near the end of August. The museum parking lot at the airport is apparently...

PLEASE RECONSIDER If you have never been exposed to the type of material that is on the exam then go ahead. If you have seen some "large aircraft" material in your training, I would suggest saving your money and studying at home I just passed both ATPL's through self study, and I'm no wizzkid (inser...

Spooky, I think 200hr was talking about protection from other people. If you're in the north, for sure, carry a gun so you can blast the Griz that's eyeing you up for lunch cuz you probably won't "talk" your way out of it. I don't really think we need guns for protection from people either. That blu...

Rocky, Gun owners aren't mad at the simple idea of registering a FIREARM (we do not refer to them as weapons, nor do we use them that way). We are angry that interest groups are pushing for more arbitrary restrictions and the government plans to use the registry as a means to enforce them. Basically...

Rockie, I've read your posts and they all seem to say the same thing. "It's no big deal to register so just do it". You're right, it is no big deal, and I for one am quite happy to do it. However, it IS a problem if the gov't plans to take the guns away. They have indicated in writing that this is t...

Good points you brought up 200hr wonder, and Andy Hamilton. Alcohol directly or indirectly kills way more people in this country than guns do, so why are guns the threat? Simple math. We don't need alcohol, in fact, it has very few benifits and several drawbacks, but we don't want to part with it. T...

Yeah, I'm with goates here A lot of you say that guns can't be compared with baseball bats and golf clubs, because guns were designed to kill. The latter is true, but over the years people have figured out that clubs and bats are also exceedingly good at causing bodily harm. They are also readilly a...

Don't be haters guys! Niss, NWONT and gang, this was ment to be a friendly debate. It's interesting that this is such a hot button topic I think we'll all agree that the registry is a gigantic waste of money (at least for long guns). I own a couple of guns and had to jump through a lot of hoops to g...

Sending the logbooks to TC

Hey everyone For those who have recently applied for their ATPL, do the logbooks have to go to TC in Ottawa, or can they be verified at a local office? I'm in Abbotsford, BC and there is a TCC right here at the airport. I know I can photocopy them and send them, but I would rather hand them in mysel...

Myths about firearms

Hey everyone, I was surfing the "tube" and stumbled across this video. It's from the U.S., but it sheds some light on the stigma that often surrounds firearms. Especially when it comes to us whacky Canadians For owners, this may be straight forward, but for the uninitiated or "anti's" this will hope...
