Re: Anxiety
Well this blew up! I just wanted a yes or no from someone who might be prescribed something, but instead got a lot of Supercharged BS! For the record, I don't suffer from anxiety. My friends son is thinking of getting into aviation, and is currently takeing something.

Anxiety
Does anybody take something for anxiety, or know if there is anything that can be prescribed and still hold a class 1 medical?

Commuting
How does it work as a commuter if you get bumped off all the flights, and simply can't get to work? Is there a policy to protect you if this happens? Also, can you commute the same day as your pairing starts?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Flying co-captain
What about long haul flights? Is the captain still logging PIC time while he's sleeping in the back? Yes because he's the PIC. He can do whatever he feels is safest for the success of the flight. Probably being fresh during the takeoff and landing of a wide body flight, is safer than centring the h...
Re: Execair
From what I hear, all of that depends on who own the jet you're flying. Citations are Richardsons and go south a lot. Challengers and Hawkers are An insurance company, and fly everywhere. Unless you know someone there you might as well forget it. I think they have airplanes in BC and its a lot nicer...

Dilkaid (Diluted Kool-Aid.) Pilots wear Pleather jackets, still have to clean the plane, but also have to file the nicks outta the props between each of their 17 legs per day.

7500!!!!!! Geez. Hey Mod's is it possible to start a forum called "The octagon" or "The bickering room",or something like that? Then when a thread gets hijacked with unproductive, unrelated non sense; those involved in the debate/pi**ing contest, can take it to that forum. So far this thread has onl...

Re: Those senoirity handcuffs.
So it seems like the expectation of a pension is what's keeping some pilots loyal to Air Canada. I'm assuming mostly for the guys who have been there a while. Any relatively newer hires, wanna weigh in? Whats keeping the guys who have only been there for 5 years or so around?

Those senoirity handcuffs.
Hello friends/peers, It seems that every few months or so there is a new dilemma at air canada. It almost seems like a big part of the company's culture is bitching about how shitty everyone's got it. This latest one is a bit more of a doozey than usual, however I get the feeling the company will st...

It is SOP to deviate from SOP's, if it is deemed a safer option.
