Re: 200 Hrs CPL getting hired at 703

Advice I’d give my own kids is worry less about counting hours and types of hours for ATPL , and worry more about learning to be a really good pilot. If you can find yourself a reputable company with experienced people to provide the mentorship you will need, you will drastically reduce your chances...

There's a theory out there that bouncing off the tq limiter all the time wears out the fcu bellows. You guys might want to try not doing that and see if it helps.

Re: Wasaya job adds WOW

Without inside knowledge, it looks to me that Wasaya is between a rock and a hard place. Bleeding crew. Can't afford to raise pay. Perimeter and Northstar moving in. Christ! they got in trouble when they had a virtual monopoly and crew was less of an issue. 44 openings?! That's substantial. Tell me ...

Re: Halifax crash report coming Thursday

Isn't saying that monitoring height vs distance wasn't written in SOP a little like saying "don't crash the plane" wasn't written into SOP?

Do we really need some new laws to be written and SOPs rewritten to keep us from crashing guys? Come on.

I'm not sure why, but it's not unusual.

If it was the Captain I think it was, I can tell you I'd be shocked to find out he did anything other than save the day. He is highly experienced and respected. Your uninformed theories are disrespectful and irritating.

There is little to no information on this accident. Chasing your tails based on your own bogus information and speculation is an excercise in jerking off.

Yep. But that could be a problem under certain circumstances. If you file and get missed approach instructions to alternate when you're uncertain about your arrival, you'll be ready for whatever.

Interesting study I heard about recently measured simulator performance of pilots drunk vs hungover. Drunk pilots performed better. Something to consider for the young and dumb.
