Very sad. Randy Sullivan was the pilot of the beaver who passed on in the accident. Myself and girlfriend with him for a float tour last year during vacation and he was a great person and a great pilot. May he Rest In Peace.

Could also be that they are riding just at tops of clouds and picking up icing, or getting into turbulence....sometimes only need that extra couple hundred feet. Its helpful rather than climbing another 2000 ft to next alt
