And Dave P I have a feeling I know why you resigned from AvCanada. It's because you knew a brutally embarrassing offer was coming down the pipe regarding Encore's WAWCON. As a leader at Westjet and a representative for the pilots you need to be preventing our profession from stepping backwards.

After reading these threads about Encore for the last couple of months I have completely lost respect for Westjet as a company. The pay and working conditions currently on offer are both shameful and degrading. How Westjet employees are defending this I'm not sure.

Quite simply myself and a lot of other guys are not going to be able to pack up our families and move to Calgary at those pay rates. Nope. Spent a lot of time in The Pas, never minded it. Lived in a lot of northern places people would call shitholes but the only one that ever actually was a genuine, certified, grade A, dumphole was Thompson.

Living out at Paint Lake is the ONLY way to have a decent life in that dumphole of a town. Especially if you have kids. Spent a lot of time in Northern communities from NWT, northern Sask, MB and ON and compared to Thompson they were like paradise. Thompson still ranks as the #1 shithole in Canada.

They never had a nice operation. It is a joke show there.

Any suggestions on nice areas where I could find a small acreage within commuting (driving) distance to YYC under the $400,000 mark or is this unrealistic?
