Re: Perimeter Shamattawa

That's a tough price to pay for a lifetime of hearing damage and back problems. Neither airplane belongs in the north. They both need 5000' of runway to carry a load in the summer, maybe 6000 for the texas death pencil. How's Perimeter solving their balanced field length problem on the Metro 3? Som...

To label a type of service as "Champagne" isn't protected.
Is the title of the product "Champagne Service" and what is offered as a drink sparkling wine? Look into that and report back.

Gilles,

Why do you rarely comment on the parallels that exist between SW and AT with regards to this topic? It appears you only concentrate on the fact SW does this seasonal practice. Surely what AT does is similar?

12 hour bottle to throttle. Thank you Estonia. What did Estonia have to do with that? :?: Sorry I meant Slovakia. The Sunwing pilot that drank a 26er of vodka halfway through his duty day specifically. Any that work around Eastern European crew knows that this is par for the course there. Now I won...

Might look ridiculous to you but on the financial sheet, it makes sense. Now, if you'd avoid putting them on your plane due to the looks and forgo the fuel savings, then we'd have something to talk about.

Re: Airplane viewing platform to be built for CYYZ

Seems like the extra money they allocated for the platform was taken away from the electricity budget. Anyone know what was going on last Friday in the evening? Taxi lights out, a small fire was burning and it was a slow taxi in....

Re: 777 in YWG

fish4life brought up an interesting subject. What if it was January and the temperatures were in the minus a jillion with a howling wind. Is there a hangar in Winnipeg big enough to fit a 777 or do they simply send in some real tough mechanics to fix it outside. YWG maintenance guys are half Yeti a...

GTAA raises taxes again?

Is it true that the terminal 1 departures have again been increased with taxes? It used to cost $11 to jump out of YYZ and now it's getting into the $55 range? I understand that the airlines themselves don't increase the jumpseat fares but does anyone know if there's "bargaining" which we could do w...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Do the Jazz pilots on the PMA have an ACPA number yet? Is it similar to Encore and WJ where a new OTS hire is junior to someone not flying at mainline yet?
That might make someone think a little before accepting a position when there's a pile of guys ahead of you already that may parachute in front.

don't care who says what or whatever the multitude of excuses,I feel being stranded on a parked aircraft for 7-8 hrs in order for those responsible to figure out what's going down is extremely dangerous to the health of people and unsafe. I don't usually advocate the lawyer route but this time such...
