Starting to accumulate tools for my RV project. Full set would be ideal but let me know what you have.

Re: "High time" college students

I know Sault College used to do accelerated PPL lesson plans ending with a PPL standards ride conducted by an examiner (This is required for a final grade because "Flight" is considered a class). Moving forward the student is the same as every other student from CPL to MIFR.

Re: When you solo during your training, what do you practice?

Your instructor will discuss the exercises to be practised prior to each solo flight. Remember these are still training flights and believe it or not you will learn much more in your solo practice than you will with an instructor beside you. Preparation and honesty is key. Prepare yourself by review...

Re: Advancing prop controls.. when is the right time?

In my experience it's part of the pre-landing checklist...Specifically when landing flap is selected. "Full flap, mixture rich, prop fine."

Re: Anyone use Sharper Edge to study for IFR Written?

Sharper Edge is definitely a good study aid although I wouldn't rely on it exclusively. The information is very relevant, good questions (a few were incorrect but not too many), and the explanations are easy to understand. I would also suggest knowing the information in your Cap Gen inside and out a...

Re: How Long Until Crosby's Out Again?

Colonel Sanders: Don't get me wrong he is a great player but you can't deny the fact that the NHL treats him differently from other players. Ryan Miller gets hammered by Lucic and nothing happens...Shanahan has a 3 foot orb around Crosby's head and the first person to have any body part cross into t...

Re: How Long Until Crosby's Out Again?

Crosby is a giant distraction to the entire NHL, and the league babysits him. The first big hit laid on Crosby after his return no matter how clean it is, I gurantee you'll see a giant suspension. The only reason i'm glad he's back on the ice is that every morning now I don't have to hear about how ...

[quote="Beach 200"][quote="Human Factor"]This program is presented as a paid advertisement

Could it have something to do with talking about Adlair? Even in the episode before they showed WestJet taking off...just a thought

Wine at CYZR

A friend and I flew down to Sarnia this past saturday and found out with every 150 litres of fuel purchased, (100 if you're a student), your are given a complimentary bottle of wine. Thought this was a neat promotion.

Re:

My opinion is, turn them on with the Xponder when you enter the runway. I have been recently reprimanded by instructors for not wanting to blind or distract pilots on final. Then again I have a night rating so maybe that's why I'm in the habit of waiting. I agree with Beefitarian. At Sault College ...
