I would keep flying as a hobby at this age. At 39 with a family it is a harsh road to take. I would think you most likely won't make it to any major airlines as you will have to compete with 25-30 year olds. You can probably still make it as captain on a turboprop at some bush/charter company but yo...

Doc, I absolutely agree with you on all of the above. It looks like kids who had it tough want everybody else to have a sip of it....it reminds me of one country's military where I once served for 2 years on the opposite side of north pole, you get there and get beaten every night for first 6 months...

Hello, I am 33 and just renewed my Class 1 medical and when I was at the doctor’s my BP went up along with heart rate, It was something like 150/90 by 95. My normal BP is 120/80 and heart rate usually 60-80, I am in good shape and exercise regularly… Medical examiner didn’t say a word just did my EC...

Can someone recommend a decent flight school in GTA area (preferably closer to Newmarket...) to do MIFR training. I know about Canadian Flyers and Toronto Airways but want to see if there are more options out there...
