Re: Pilot salaries in Russia
I'm sure working as a pilot in Russia is the same as working as a pilot in Canada.
A big, northern country. It's cold. The money sucks. Shitty airplanes. You have to deal with Russian (French).
May as well stay at home. Then again the Vodka may be cheaper.

How much do F/Os fly?
I have 236TT, 42.1 multi.
If I get a PA31 type rating, would I be more competitive?

Re: Anything Positive about a low cost?
Since a low cost carrier is imminent for our national carrier to remain competitive and stand a chance to compete against other airlines in Canada... The article in the G&M stated that it would be YVR based and fly to Asia. Not much competition on those routes from within Canada. Further, does anyo...

Re: Emirates 380 de declares an emergency and heads to YOW
I have a few questions, and they aren't meant to be rhetorical or smart-ass. 1) Were they holding at YYZ before they attempted an approach? If so, for how long? 2) When was the emergency declared? 3) Can the pilots expect to face any disciplinary action (not suggesting that they should ... just aski...

Approx 60% so spending 5 years as a: B777 CA at $230K T4, pension is $140K B767 CA at $200K T4, pension is $120K A320 CA at $160K T4, pension is $90K As is evident by these numbers, a WJ B737 CA makes about the same T4 as an AC B767 CA, but without a pension. For all intensive purposes its the same thing. You should of not let it bother you, your just out to find escape goats for everything! Thanks for the heads up, but I don't think this question is unfair; just equally as useless as most other questions asked in a lot of interviews these days.
Also, I wouldn't consider it an "affirmative action" question.

Not to move away from the topic at hand, but why do so many on here seem to want to see the demise of AC and the loss of thousands of jobs?
Thanks so much.
