Re: Pilot salaries in Russia

I'm sure working as a pilot in Russia is the same as working as a pilot in Canada.
A big, northern country. It's cold. The money sucks. Shitty airplanes. You have to deal with Russian (French).
May as well stay at home. Then again the Vodka may be cheaper.

I enjoy not working Mon-Fri 9-5, and I enjoy take-offs and landing.
Absolutely everything else makes me want to find a better industry.

How much do F/Os fly?
I have 236TT, 42.1 multi.
If I get a PA31 type rating, would I be more competitive?

Such as? (it's actually a genuine question).
I'm assuming you mean captains with time on medium jets? A320, 737, etc?

No internal references.

Is it possible to get in at Westjet without internal references?
If so, how?

Re: Anything Positive about a low cost?

Since a low cost carrier is imminent for our national carrier to remain competitive and stand a chance to compete against other airlines in Canada... The article in the G&M stated that it would be YVR based and fly to Asia. Not much competition on those routes from within Canada. Further, does anyo...

If so, for how long? 2) When was the emergency declared? 3) Can the pilots expect to face any disciplinary action (not suggesting that they should ... just aski...

mbav8r - take it easy. AC pilot's beef is not with you, it's with the system. Relax.
