Re: New Metar/TAF iPhone App - Minimums
Not bad although I assumed that the minima would be auto-filled from the CAP minima with the option to edit. Also, like aeroweather the app does NOT show the last few METARs which I don't like because I can't see the current trend. Thanks ragbagflyer. Adding the last few metars is definitely someth...

New Metar/TAF iPhone App - Minimums
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/minimums-metar-taf-analysis/id1059175803?mt=8 Just released a new iPhone app called Minimums. Shows you Metars/TAFs but the main feature is the ability to set ceiling/visibility minimums for takeoff, landing, and alternate at each airport. Generally useful for tellin...

Re: MetGraph iPhone/iPad App
Thanks for the suggestion Ruckus. It's definitely something that I'm working on doing. This will likely be something in the settings since there are quite a few gestures you can already use on the graphs: swiping left/right/up/down, and tapping and holding, then dragging.

Re: MetGraph iPhone/iPad App
Looks like the US National Weather Services (where the data comes from) just changed the way they disseminate data - really bad timing! An update has already been submitted to the app store and should be out within a week. Please hold your bad reviews until then!

MetGraph iPhone/iPad App
Published a new app for iPhone/iPad that pilots might find interesting - it's called MetGraph . It downloads 24-36 hours of METAR data and displays useful information such as cloud height, vis, temp/dewpoint, and wind in graph form. Giving away 5 free copies of the app, first come first served. K637...

Re: Most Important Weather Factors
It would be great if you could set alerts to notify you when weather has met certain criteria. As a medevac pilot we often have put a trip on hold until a snow squall had passed for example. It would be super if the iPhone could notify me when for example vis is above 1 1/2 mile. Have the app check...

Re: Most Important Weather Factors
All I truly care about is whether it is legal for me to shoot an approach at my ETA. A TAF feature will definitely be implemented in the future. I know it's a bit limiting right now but I'm working on graphing trends like visibility and ceiling over the past X hours based on what the metars have re...

Most Important Weather Factors
I'm adding new features to my iPhone weather app Met Mapper (see this thread http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=78558#p736585 ) and want to know what you, as pilots, find most important when studying METARs. Obviously this will depend on your capacity as a pilot (airline, GA, studen...
