It's been two years, surely the class 3 investigation must be complete. Does anyone know where to view such a report? Or, do we need to look under the rug?

There was also the B99 C-FRQI back then. It was rare to see it in Inuvik though.Bede wrote:Congrats Air North. I remember flying with them when I worked in Inuvik. They only had HS748's back then.

The Northern Living allowance. Basically, you can declare $15 per day per household or $7 per day per person as a tax deduction. There is also a travel deduction allowed for two trips out to a maximum of I think $2400. Thats it. Also, Alkan does take on low time guys, it looks like they may require ...

Re: Heathrow crash B777 Captain Peter Burkill rejoins BA . .
I ordered "Thirty Seconds to Impact" from Pete Burkill's website. Great book, a real eye opener to what can play out when things go wrong. The interview on the Flight Global link above is significant in the fact that this was exactly what BA would not allow him to do after the accident. Some public ...

Nice job S60. If it was just the bell it wouldn't be that bad. But, why does it always smell like shit when that bell rings?

Point of interest, if I recall, full nacelles on the 99 is 800 lbs of fuel. Fill them up and your pretty accurate on your load.

I can't believe nobodies pointed this out in either "Granny Gas" discussion. There is nothing wrong with taking fuel when you want it. Just take less Fu$king freight! It's the cost of business.

The drive to Braeburn Lodge is worth doing once. They claim the worlds largest cinamon buns. I think they are up to $8 a piece now. It's about 1 hour north of town and would tie in good with a hot springs trip. Or, you could rent a sled and hit the hills with some of us locals. But, then you wouldn'...

Ruud Leeuw, a lot of good info on your site. In regards to your Great Northern Airways F-27 photos, you might be interested in reading a book called "The Big Dipper Route" by Danny Bereza. There is an account of the F-27 crash in Resolute from First Officer Lorne Christiansen. There is a chapter on ...

Only RA's are inhibited at low level (1000 feet on decent and I believe 500 feet on take off). TA is still available provided the necessary transponders are on.

Here's the math assuming that the R985 will fail one out of two thousand flights: Probability that LH Engine fails = 1/2000 Probability that RH Engine fails = 1/2000 Probability that both engines fail = (1/2000) * (1/2000) = 1/4 000 000 Probability that either engine fails = (1/2000) + (1/2000) - (...

The Old BYN Hangar burned in December 1940, Hangar B went in 1993 and Hangar C was January 1999. There may be others that I'm not aware of.
