The company must be operating a completely bi-lateral agreement with what their offering their pilots this summer. 200 foreigners entered Canada this winter to fly Canadian registered aircraft as stated in many of the thread...

Re: Sunwing Adds a New Twist on Foreign Pilots

As mentioned above, you do not need to abolish the TWP. Its construction was to legitify processes in industry’s where legal representation did not exists and practices such as employee abuse took place (ie, fruit and veg picking for little to no pay). How can a Canadian Company have more foreigners than locals in a job market that has many Canadians who would qualify (clearly evident when they actually place a job add they receive more resumes that qualify then they have...

Re: Sunwing Adds a New Twist on Foreign Pilots

Can someone explain to me how this is even legal? A Canadian company with more foreign pilots than local pilots (150 locals vs 200 foreigners) A Canadian company operating with a so called “reciprocal agreement” (SWG receives 200 pilots from Europe and sends less than 60, and receives pilots from co...

Re: Grounding Foreign Pilots

The hard fact is that Transat is laying off 17 pilots while Canjet (who directly operates for Air Transat) hired 35 foreign pilots to fill their need for pilots for their contract with Transat Sunwing is operating with aprox 150 local Canadian pilots and 180 foreign pilots as well as aprox 10 contra...
