DHC-2 Boat Rack (Drawings and Photographs)

Looking for a bit of into on the DHC-2 floatplane boat-rack installation.

I have a very old Operation and Maintenance Manual but it does not seem to be in there like I thought it would be.

I'd really appreciate some photos and / or technical drawings.

Thanks in advance,

CA.

Re: Creating a Master Flightplan?

Oh, ok thanks. That wasn't clear to me. So when I fill that template out and then later call them to file and it goes like: FIC: "Hullo, Kamloops FIC" Me: "Yeah, hello; Flightplan please" FIC: "Ident?" Me: "180 GABC on file" they will have the record just like before? No more long pauses and, "No; w...

Creating a Master Flightplan?

Am I able to create a master flightplan online?

I created a user account with the CFPS but I don't see a place for a master flightplan.

I have had one on file for 5 years, and used it all of the time but they tell me that they now have no record of it.

Re: Impact drivers (dewalt and the likes)

I run #2 "Grabits" in my Makita impact and/or cordless. Works excellent.

Also, make sure of course, you're using only the Snap-On serrated screwdriver tips to begin with.

Re: CAP 3000 Installation Eligibility

Pie; yes, indeed. Not the way this cookie crumbles though.. PilotDAR, appreciate very much your input there. That's great info. Got a good notion to put it in a file somewhere so I can dig it out when these discussions come up. Another factor you did not mention, when one is thinking on becoming the...

Re: CAP 3000 Installation Eligibility

Thanks Pilot DAR. I just cannot understand why they cut the serial numbers off where they do.

I may well follow up with you and I appreciate your input very much. The customer is away right now but I will probably get ahold of you after I confer with him.

Cheers,

CA.

Re: CAP 3000 Installation Eligibility

Damn ~

That was a great find groncher.

I have had so many dead ends..

Unfortunately; it looks like my serial number is ineligible.

PilotDAR, This airplane originally had an O-470A. It was converted to a K model in 1990.

Thanks guys,

CA.

CAP 3000 Installation Eligibility

Trying to determine if CAP 3000 floats can be installed on a 1953 Cessna 180.

CAP's Type Cert on the NICO has no info.

Anybody know the answer?

Low it is; The "Industrial Division" specials are incredible.

Everything I saw in there was about half of what they retail for off of the truck.

It's just not an option available to the peons though...

Re: Looking for December 2014 Snap On Flyer

Twist the wire by hand. Ummm. No. I've worn out 3 sets of twister pliers to date (over 17 years). Use them every day. Anyhow, as an addendum to the story, I did indeed find the flyer. It turned out though, that this flyer in question was for Snap On "Industrial". The pricing in there was better tha...

I thought the PRM was attached to the operator, not to the AMO? Re: PA 12 Super cruiser

It will not perform as well as a PA18 but it is a dream to fly...especially if you like side slipping. They have a lesser angle of incidence than a PA-18. Not as STOL but they cruise nicer. The internal room is a huge plus over the PA-18 and the aileron cables and control installation are a much cl...

Re: Pre-buy inspection C-180

BPF/CamAero, thanks a lot for all this great and useful info! Just to confirm, TBO for the O-470 is 2000 hrs? Is there any calendar time limit for private operations? Here is the link to TCM's TBOs. There is variation between models of O-470. None are as high as 2000 hours. http://www.tcmlink.com/pd...

Re: Pre-buy inspection C-180

Have a thorough inspection of the main gearboxes, tailwheel saddle attachment, aft bulkhead & fin rear spar, stab trim-jacks and the hockey sticks. Pay careful attention under the floor. Make sure the control cables are not rubbing on the fuel lines and that battery cables are not chafing anything. ...
