Air Canada and Canadian was a merger done in the 90s, TS is an acquisiton by AC. The dynamics of the :prayer: seniority list will be very different :smt040

We lives in times of change, seems like TS could be the first express carrier that's more than 80 seats . What would be more interesting is what happens to Rouge ???

Re: Narrowbody Preference: EMJ vs A320

Talking from the sand box , life is having the right amount of money with the right amount of time to enjoy it with the right amount of people. I would give anything to come back and join AC at the bottom of the list...Work rules in the middle east are max'd out..just my 2 cents I have. I actually h...

Re: How is new hire equipment chosen?

I guess ...FO Rouge/EMJ/B737/RP 787,777 ...would be the mostly likely positions, rest of the fleet is still on the gradual phase out ..320/ 330/B767 Mainline... no RP's in rouge, or at least not yet And people talk about the 4 course rights is that effective after your first type, ie, new hire joins...

What are the most likely new hire positions going forward...?
Does Rouge or RP Mainline have a Reserve Schedule?

Re: When is AC hiring again?

Air Canada is actively hiring right now. There is no problem filling the courses. Air Canada has hired out of 703/704 turboprops before, and probably will again in the future, but current new hires are all mostly experienced on larger aircraft... mostly 705 jet, some 705 turboprop, some military, s...

Re: Air Canada Pool

There are people at Jazz without an ATPL? Wow, how times have changed... Anyway, new equipment bid out for those interested... Nothing earth shattering, 384 vacancies. 90% YYZ, the rest in YVR... Company is planning one more course this year and one a month in 2017 - 30 per course. Good luck! 384 v...

Re: Air Canada Pool

Hiring from jazz/Sky also means replacing those pilots in their express carriers... Its about time they started OTS hiring rather than just focusing on the PML... How will hiring outside of the experienced jet captains and airline pilots they are currently getting from Sky, GGN and Jazz help the tra...

Yes, I am most certainly aware that this is not the right thread however I am just continuing on from the previous posts. As far as punctuation goes, I apologize I will take the most attentive care for the future. Referencing the ACPA (the 'The' is grammatically correct as its a preposition), I am n...

Re: WJE Flow through

Oh its completely wrong!!! After the JAZZ PML the ACPA would establish the required ratio to be hired for the future and I have not come across anywhere that the PMA from tier 2 would be 80% and if it were to be that would flush the express carriers dry of "experienced pilots". P.S current upgrades ...

To be an Astronaut having a Science degree should be mandated, so I think that is fair, most applicants are Masters or Phd's in Astro Physics. Flying is not rocket science even though some pilots may make it seem like it is  . I respect all your comments on the idea of a degree represents the a...

Right. It's amazing the rest of us lasted this long without a degree in microbiology  In all seriousness kids, I wouldn't be rushing off to drop 30k on a unrelated degree because this is Big Red's flavour of the month.
