All their planes had KW_ registrations I believe because Ken Wilson sold them the planes.godsrcrazy wrote:HighT5 wrote:Is that one of Seneca's old 310s from the 80s?
Manufactured in 1979 according to the registry.
Not a big deal, just curious.

Maybe english isn't the guy's first language.
Maybe he's interested in working there and wants to know if pay and working conditions might be getting better or worse.
Why are you guys so eager to jump on one another?

Very tragic. My condolences go out to the friends, family and employees at the school. A 'high speed' impact would have similar results to the College Bonanza that crashed during the night. Not as much was left of that plane...you couldn't even tell it was a Bonanza. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_7TR7c2...

Re: Anything Positive about a low cost?
People are knocking the salary structure to "start" at 38K but you know what it is not too bad at all. You don't think you're worth more than 38K as an airline pilot? Sad. I know people in office admin jobs that started at 45K. Just because you're making less than that now is no excuse for that dis...

And on a side note for all you 25yr olds who would love to fly a shiny jet for cheap, eventually...you too will turn 40, then 50, then 60. So 36K a year may not sound that bad but what about when your 40 and all your friends have: Savings accounts, funded RESP's for their children,as well as nice h...

Rogers does or has done it. They used a Toronto Airways 172 with a tail boom. Pay wasn't too bad.

Oh wonderful ... so whoever joins as a Capt will have a whole batch of disgrutled F/Os that are out to stab him in the back for the slightest incorrect SOP call, or just generally be bitchy and snippy in the cockpit because they perceive that this new guy has "stolen their seat" to which they are r...

It's all automated. Doesn't matter if it's ILS, NDB, GNSS. It's pretty much all the same to them.1000islander wrote:I'll bet the crew had not done a non precision approach in a while

One hour, 43 minutes on one engine! I know next to nothing about these sort of procedures with a heavy, but isn't that a pretty good chunk of time? I'm guessing though, the 777 could probably sustain the full flight on a single engine if need be. http://www.geaviation.com/press/ge90/ge90_19961003.h...
