Wife got me one for a gift! Very happy with it. Not so much for the navigation (still handy) but it's also a great fitness watch. Lots of apps seem to be coming out recently as well. E-mails and texts on the face are nice and the GPS locks quickly. I like it!

Never had a problem with what AME's charge for labor. Problem is airplanes ARE expensive! There are some small ways to cut the costs but regardless it's still prohibitively expensive.
