Re: EASA license conversion

Complex, What kind of timeframe does it take from start to finish?

I am very interested in the conversion for a career and would be curious about the specifics with the sim rental and the extra bits that need to be done. A PM would be great if you prefer.

If you split the luggage and had to have both aircraft arrive at the same time, you're just missing out of the opportunity of increasing frequency on that route, even if you were to stagger the flights by an ...

Re: ATF Procedures

You can fly the circuit at whatever altitude you please, turn crosswind when you feel like it, and formation arrivals are fine with prior communication.

Just use good airmanship with others in the circuit.

Re: Air Transat Jumpseat

Thanks! I am looking for ATH-YYZ, but I won't have many options if it doesn't work out, so for this time I think I will play it safe until I get more comfortable with jumpseat travel.

Air Transat Jumpseat

Anyone have experience with using the reciprocal jumpseat with international travel?

What are the chances getting on mid-August from Europe?

It is easy...since we accepted jobs at A scale level...or we would be working for the competition!

Re: I'm trying to understand...

Easy to say when you have a job on an A scale. Pilots are asking how do we collectively increase the starting pay at CPA carriers? I told them how and using market forces plus a little self discipline will probably achieve the desired result on the quickest possible timeline. Let's not get in to th...

Yes, EASA does not issue a license for a frozen ATPL, but the term is widely used among flight schools and some recruiters.

Re: Are There Frozen ATPLs in Canada?

It is correct that there is no Frozen ATPL in Canada, however comparing it directly to EASA which has a frozen ATPL, the criteria is to have the exams written while waiting for the required hours.
