Word from Ottawa is that this will be Canada's first Virtual Control Tower.
Camera's will be setup and all control will be carried out remotely via cameras and radar feeds.

Let's see how well this one works out shall we.

Re: Voluntary Safety Shutdown of OP's

"Troubleshot" I do agree with you but I do have to say that growing pains in regards to organizational growth are far from "simple". I have worked for organizations at upper & mid management levels who experienced this same type of growth. The steps & decisions made during this critical time will de...

Re: Voluntary Safety Shutdown of OP's

This is all over the News now here in Moncton. Just heard an interview with the school principle/ceo and he states that this shut down was not mandated by Transport Canada, but completely voluntary. The news radio station I listened to went into pretty good detail. Almost sounds like they read the i...

Re: Voluntary Safety Shutdown of OP's

Yes the shut down does suck for the people at MFC.
But as mentioned earlier at least the school did it, most others might have not done anything.

Hopefully it will not last too long.

I hope the Durham guy did not require 12 hours of brain surgery to remove parts of his/her chipped skull.
Also to confirm the newspaper report is correct, the TSB is allowing MFC to conduct the investigation.

Pilot bounced on landing & initiated a balked landing.
Applied full power in a nose down attitude and hit the ground hard nose first.

How about a new forum/board?

I'd love to have an general aviation aircraft owners forum on AvCanada. I'm not interested in things like what’s going on at so & so airline, airline salaries, and other industry related topics. I'd love to be able to communicate with fellow owners & pilots about owner related topics... What does ev...

If you can afford it buy one if these:

http://www.ken-lab.com/stabilizers.html

It will allow you to bring your shutter speed WAY down which is nice if you need a large depth of field.

I understand you can print trip kits which include a flight plan log, VFR or IFR enroute navigation charts, SIDS/STARS, weight & balance, cost reports, etc.

If these charts are current can they be used as opposed to Nav Can Charts?

Hi There, I am interested in purchasing Jeppesen Flite Star IFR. Does anyone here us it and have any feedback on the software? Can one legally use this software legal in Canada for VFR/IFR flight planning and navigation? I think I would need to carry current paper VFR and/or IFR charts/plates to be ...
