Re: CF 100.

Oldtimer, the CF-100 was considered to be the best all-weather interceptor of its era. For your interest, visit the following web page (http://www.canaero.ca/subpages/articles.html), and click on the CF-100 memory project menu. You'll find plenty of great reading material and photos on the "Clunk".

Re: Guy Hachey Bombardier Aerospace president quote re: C se

Perhaps we should cut Mr. Hachey some slack. I'm pretty sure that in terms of project cost and complexity, the CSeries program is Canada's most impressive aerospace manufacturing venture of all time. Comparison with the Arrow is valid given the number of subcontractors and industry participants, not...

I'm not affiliated with Sporty's in any way, but this looks like a great way to keep up with the fast-evolving world of aviation apps for tablets. h...

Re: Good SE BC airplane choice.......

Regarding the Found Expedition, you can also visit their YouTube channel and watch plenty of informative videos: http://www.youtube.com/Expeditionair I believe the "new" pricing is just under $500,000. I noticed there is also a lightly used Found Bush Hawk for sale ($394,442) from a private owner: h...

Re: Good SE BC airplane choice.......

Check out Found's go-anywhere Expedition aircraft (tricycle or tailwheel versions). It will outperform a 206 for less money and will handle the operational requirements you describe. (Or as a lower cost alternative, buy a used Found Bush Hawk for less money, but almost the same capabilities. Go to: ...
